500L Hugh Baird - Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of a Stout. Also a good grain to make red beers with, use 2-3 oz per 5 gallons for a nice red color.

Roasty
This malt seems to add just the roasty flavor I am looking for in my stouts. No complaints on this product. I have bought it before and will buy it again.

The big cheese of dark malts
This unmalted barley is roasted at high temperature. Gives your beers the sharpness needed in stouts or porters. Just a little will do!

Great for Stouts
I have brewed 20 gallons of a stout recipe with this grain. The first ten gallons I put an extra pound of this in and it definitely had some strong burnt flavors. It was still drinkable but on the strong side. I liked it enough that I made another 10 batch and I used two pounds of this grain instead of three. It is much much better and I will be making it and modifying it again. Great fresh grains from Morebeer.
