Chux DIPA from Danville Brewing Company in Danville, CA is all about the hops. This celebration of hop flavor is packed with bright, citrusy tropical aromas that jump from the glass! Most of the IBUs come from a "First Wort" addition of Magnum. This process refers to adding hops to your kettle as soon as you begin collecting wort from your completed mash, resulting in a very smooth bitterness up front. From there, healthy aroma additions of Cascade, Citra®, Mosaic®, and Strata are combined for an incredibly expressive Double IPA.

Danville's Chux DIPA beat out 218 other entries to bring home Bronze in the Imperial India Pale Ale category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2017.

Kit of the week. Good Reviews, and I like WC IPAs.

Brewed it twice and it's become one of my favorite IPAs ever, homebrewed or commercial.

How long is the boil on the Chux DIPA?
Erik Moller on Oct 12, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I brewed this kit in February. I do not remember if their downloadable recipe had instructions on how long but I know I boiled 60 minutes . If the hop additions allow you could probably get away with 30 minutes

Pretty much my favorite WC right now
This kit blew me away the first time I brewed it. I've brewed it twice since then. I'm going to keep brewing it until I get tired of it and then I'll play around with the recipe a bit for some fun. But right now, I love it as is! I use the CellarScience Cali Dry yeast.

Brewed this again yesterday
Second time brewing this yesterday. Both times I used a Voss Kveik and fremented in my All Rounder. This will be in heavy rotation for the kegerator. Solid WC IPA.

Solid DIPA, the massive amount of the different variety of hops are fantastic and sing on the nose and taste buds. Really worth a brew!
