You love making beer. You give careful attention to each step in the brewing process. That’s why having a simple yet elegant way to complete one of those steps is indispensable. This fine mesh bag makes adding hops to your brew, and then removing them again, a breeze! The ultra-fine mesh fabric keeps most of the hop material from entering your fermenter. Great for additions of pellet hops during the boil! It also works well for dry hopping in the keg, with pellet or whole hops.
Note: Dry hopping with pellets in a keg using this bag will throw a little matter into your beer, but it settles out pretty quickly and we have had good luck with this procedure.
  • Perfect size for 1-4 ounces of pellets or 1-2 ounces of whole hops.
  • Can also hold specialty grains
  • Reusable
  • Easy to clean
  • Great price

Can this bag be used to sieve yeast sediments after first fermentation in cider making?
Cherry Reppert on Nov 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Cherry - This product will not be able to preform that function. Good flocculation is the easiest way to "filter" yeast away from your product. This can be enhanced with cooling of the product, and finning agents such as isinglass (at least in beer).

Hole appeared after one use..
This is supposed to be reusable but has a 1 inch hole along the seem after one use. I will stick with the cheap disposible hop bags from now on.

Great bag for ingredients
Use it for all my hops. Cuts down on the debris floating around during the process. Would not brew without one.

Great hop bags
Even though they stretch a lot, they hold up well to numerous brew sessions. Have some pretty old ones that still work just fine

Simple yet effective
This absurdly simple mesh bag is absolutely essential for our small batch or pilot brews. Easy to use, easy to clean and the effects it has on your beer is astounding. You could spend a lot more money for a fancy item but why bother when this one works so well for so little money.
