Use this yeast nutrient as your "secret weapon" when your yeast starts to lag or you just want to ensure a vigorous ferment! Supplementing with yeast nutrients reduces lag time and give the yeast a boost during sluggish or stuck fermentations.

Wyeast Yeast Nutrient gives your yeast a great start during propagation and provides the nutrients needed to maintain a healthy, active ferment: a blend of vitamins, minerals, inorganic & organic nitrogen, zinc, phosphates, and other trace elements that will benefit yeast growth and complete fermentation.

To use, simply dissolve in warm water and add the solution to your kettle 10-15 minutes before the end of the boil. Use ½ tsp (2.2 grams) per 5 gallons (19 liters) of wort.

Wyeast Yeast Nutrient will remain stable for 1 year if stored in an airtight container in a cool environment.

Can I use this for cider or ginger beer? If so what amount should I use?
David j Howard on Aug 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It will. I like lively yeast especially for non malt brews. I use a tbsp of this in conjunction with a tsp or fermaid K.

Seems to do a good job.
Easy to use not very expensive and seems to work. I would recommend this to anyone that asked my advice on yeast nutrients.

Great product!
This stuff is great, my fermentations seem to finish faster when I use this. The low price makes this a no brainier, my container has lasted over a year.

Exactly what I wanted
Bought it for mead and cider. Both have taken off quite fast. Also really enjoy the container this product comes in.

Big Beers
A lot of my home brews are big beers, 8-12%. I always use this when stepping up my starters on the stir plates. I have 4 beers with recipes that have not changed since 2016, two of those since 2013. My notes always show a change in FG when yeast nutrient is not used. I am an all grain brewer with a Herms setup using a pump.

It's What Yeast Craves
Absolutely a necessity. Gives your yeasty friends a big boost of vitamins and nutrients that will have them eating sugar and crapping alcohol until they drop. Also, it clears well.
