  • Attenuation: 73-77%
  • Cell Count: 200 Billion

Great yeast - Explosive entrance!
I shook up a can of this & opened it! WEAR GLASSES to protect your eyes! It did blow! However, in the beer it was on fire! This product launched against a 1.068 OG & finished out in 8 days at 1.043 FG. Two weeks later I was enjoying a might fine dark porter! I would recommend this product but I caution, it's entrance will be one to remember!

Blew up in my hand
I shook the can for 15 sec per the instructions and gently cracked the top. Like a grenade it literally exploded in my hand. Extremely painful and yeast was on the walls, ceiling and floor. Waste of money. If you think it was a one time thing think again. I took a second can I bought and opened it up from a distance with a crow bar outside and BAM exploded yet again. Do not buy this product.

Great Yeast
This stuff is amazing! I pitched 2 cans of this into a 5l starter for a 15 gallon batch of an Imperial IPA which in got done in 11 days. Harvested the yeast after primary and did another 5l starter to pitch into a 1bbl 1.115 Barley Wine and it finished it out at 1.029 in 20 days. Thoroughly impressed with the yeast but will have to get used to working with the can, it is pretty difficult to get all of it out. I would suggest leaving these out for a while to warm up and giving them a good shake once warm and then allow them to resettle then open. I had one can explode all over and another one that didn't, both from the same manufacturing date. For the price of the can only being $3 more than competitors and getting double the cell count is great if you are doing larger batches and need a lot of yeast without breaking the bank. The IIPA came out pretty clear after sitting in the fridge, not crystal clear but pretty close.

Great Yeast! Novel concept. Needs some tweaks.
I used this "flagship" yeast in a 11 gallon batch of 1.064 wort that was properly oxygenated at a temperature of 68 degrees. Healthy fermentation in less than 12 hours and peaking at 18 hours. This beer is still fermenting and overall I am pleased with the performance of this product. The only surprise is that the entire lid of this can pops off when the tab is pulled. I did not look, and only assumed (yeah I know...) that there was a mouth to the can. So far so good. Will update as required.

Amazing yeast in an unreliable package
Five stars for the yeast itself; I've never had yeast start up so quickly! I had to take a star away for the terrible can. I did not shake the can but the internal pressure caused significant blow out as soon as I tried opening the tab. Speaking of the tab, it's flimsy and poorly placed. It does NOT adequately open the can. I don't know if this is because of placement or because it's so flimsy. Either way it severely needs to be addressed.

I'll continue to use it on account of how awesome the yeast performs but I'll be keeping a can opener handy.

Good concept. Bad execution.
No real directions on the can so went to their website. "Shake for 15 seconds" it says. Straight out of the fridge.

And then watch it explode all over you, wasting half the yeast and all of your hard work. Luckily I had a white labs pouch to hopefully salvage the day. Waste of money and effort. I live in Denver - maybe the altitude affected it?

Avoid unless you like wasting money and wearing yeast.

I don't think it was your altitude. I live almost at sea level and I got a lot of blow out without even shaking the can. It's a horribly designed package.
