Excellent, easy stout
My first all grain! I mashed on the lower side and it came in around 6%. Ended up being a nice balance of sweet and dry. I overcarbed it at bit, but at least it it sure looks nice with all that thick frothy foam in a glass.

Great Dark Ale for Cool Fall Evenings
This is a favorite fall brew for me. It always comes as a surprise to those trying it for the first time and finding a “hoppy” stout. I have brewed this recipe before as an extract but recently graduated to all grain, so I knew this was going to be on my list of “must brews”. Excellent malty stout flavors combined with a crisp hop finish.

great stout beginner recipe
First time brewing a stout. This basic recipe is a great starting point to get those coffee and subtle toffee flavors. I added roasted coconut and a mix of warm/cold brewed coffee during secondary. Next time I will also try adding vanilla beans during secondary.

Cold Brew Stout
I brewed this kit attempting to make a cold brew stout. It turned out amazing. I brewed as a normal stout then added 24 ounces of Starbuck's Pike Place finely ground coffee (which I prepped and steeped overnight in the fridge) which a added when I transferred to keg. I had brewed it for family visiting over the holidays and it went quick!

Great starter stout receipt for new all grain brewers
Bought this as my first crack at all-grain brewing. Would of used one of the yeast starter cans on this; however my "keezer" I was using to ferment in ended up breaking down so had to wait another week. Went with the WLP-007 dry yeast which worked well. Was a bit unfamiliar with liquid yeast as visible fermentation was a bit delayed (was about 3 days almost). OG was 1.060, FG was 1.018 (was a bit under the target FG). The end product was a nice slightly dry "roasted" finish. Reminds me of Guinness a bit. Would make it again.

Fantastic
Mashed at 154. OG came in at 1.059 and I collected 5.3 gallons. Fermented down to 1.015 using US-04 yeast giving it 5.8% ABV. Great body and a strong coffee nose. Just a little bit more sweetness than Guinness. I'll be making this again for sure.
