You'll be hard-pressed to find a beer that tastes as fresh as this! Modeled after one of Deschutes Brewery's most popular offerings, Fresh Pressed IPA is packed with juicy, tropical aromas and citrusy flavor. A sturdy backbone of 2-Row, Munich and Crystal provides a malt sweetness and a trace of caramel that perfectly counter-balances the hop bitterness. Fear not, no fruit was harmed in in the development of this clone. Just hops… those got squashed into oblivion.

What mash efficiency percentage are your kits designed with?

BEST ANSWER: All of our morebeer brand all grain kits are calculated at 70% efficiency. If your system typically sees higher efficiency you can withhold some of the grain, or you can also buy an extra couple of 1lb bags of grain to keep on hand in case you see less efficiency in your system or want to go for a no-sparge brew day.
Are there any Kveik strains that pair well with this kit?

BEST ANSWER: I haven't done this exact kit with Kveik yeast, but I tend to lean towards the Omega Hornindal to get a citric flavor in my Scandi beers. More similar to yours, I did a brut IPA with the Hornindal that came out nice. Good luck!

Strong and tasty!
I don't know if I managed to capture the essence of Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, but this beer sure turned out to be a tasty one. And I achieved a starting OG of 1076, which is higher than expected. So I ended up with an ABV of 8.7%. But I'm not complaining. :o)

Love that citrus flavor
This is a true to style west coast IPA, crystal clear, decent IBU's and the color is spot on. I used the WLP-001 yeast it came out clear. I imported the recipe into Beer Smith and I believe the kit might be intended for a system with an efficiency of something in the low 70's I am still waiting to hear back from MoreBeer on this so if your system is higher you might have to make some adjustments. Over all its a good kit, i had a side by side taste test and my buddies were impressed with the kit vs the commercial product.
