Premium Electric Home Brewing Kit

Premium Electric Home Brewing Kit

Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.

The Premium Electric Homebrewing Starter Kit is one of the most approachable starter kits we’ve ever offered and represents the absolute best value you’ll find! The defining piece of this kit is the DigiBoil electric kettle. Most home brewing kits require a kitchen stove or outdoor propane burner, but with the DigiBoil you can make great beer just about anywhere you can find a power socket. The DigiBoil’s compact design makes this kit the ideal choice for those that want to brew indoors and not take up a lot of space. We also include the 6-gallon Fermonster fermenter, copper wort chiller, beer recipe kit of your choice, and all the time-tested brewing equipment you need to make beer at home. If purchased piece-by-piece this kit would cost well over $500, so you can feel confident that you’re getting all of the included equipment at the lowest price possible!

Electric Brewing
Typical home brewing starter kits set you up to brew your first batch of beer on the kitchen stove. This may lower the price tag but brewers will naturally progress beyond the kitchen to an outdoor gas burner or electric brewing system. Electric brewing systems have several advantages, firstly being that they do not require propane so there is no chance of running out of gas mid-brew. Secondly, electric kettles use a built-in temperature probe and digital controller to automatically maintain temperatures. This gives you a precise level of control that gas systems rarely match. Finally, the DigiBoil electric kettle is extremely compact and is the ideal choice for brewers that have space constraints or live in an area where brewing outdoors isn't an option year-round.

110V vs. 220V
The DigiBoil electric kettle comes in two power options, 110 volt and 220 volt. The 110V unit features a standard 3-prong plug and will work with most US household power outlets. The 220V unit features a NEMA 6-30R plug, typically only used with large household appliances such as washer/dryer outlets. Both power options are perfectly suitable for brewing. The 110V option provides greater flexibility, allowing you to move your brewery from the kitchen to the garage, basement, or outdoor patio with ease. If you have convenient access to 220V power, the 220V model will significantly reduce heating times and provide a more vigorous boil.

Extract Brewing
Extract brewing is the simplest process for making beer and is therefore the most popular method for beginners. Powdered or liquid malt extract is added to water to make a sweet solution loaded with fermentable sugars that yeast will later turn into alcohol. The mixture is then brought to a boil and hops are added for flavoring. This simple method allows novice brewers to focus on learning the overall process of brewing while still making delicious beer.

If you’re interested in all-grain brewing, check out the Premium Electric All Grain Home Brewing Kit. This version of the kit includes the DigiMash upgrade, which can always be purchased later when you’re ready to advance.

I wanted an electric brew kettle
Kenneth J K on Nov 18, 2021
I picked this starter kit because I thought the electric kettle would be easier to control the temp than a gas burner, and since I don't have a gas burner and would need to buy one, the additional cost for the electric kettle wasn't that much.

Been thinking about getting the brewing hobby for a while, and thought the idea of a complete basic kit was perfect, I also liked the electric kettle with programmable temperatures. I understand that temperature regulation during brewing is critical and would be difficult on a common stove top.

I'd love to see a comparison between this kit and the Brewzilla, I'm shopping kits for an electric brewing setup. Help?
Hardy Pottinger on Jan 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello Hardy, the difference would be that the BrewZilla has a pump option and a delay start step mash option where as the DigiBoil does not have a pump and does not have the delay start option.

First time brewer, kit made life easier
Been wanting to brew for a long time. This complete kit made things so much easier! And wife appreciated me able to brew in the garage and not the kitchen. I appreciated not having to also buy a burner and worry about filling propane bottles. Will reccomend to anyone wanting a well rounded setup.

overall decent
The electric unit is quite good. The fermonster is quite cheap. The worst part is the very poor directions. They are NOT written for a beginning brewer.

Great starter system
Pretty much everything you need to brew extract beer. I added the all grain kit and have been using it since. If you have an available 220V outlet I would suggest getting that version, the extra power saves a lot of time.

I'm new to the beer brewing but I have similar skills to this whole thing since I use to make whiskey. My question for this kit is I've noticed other brew kits come with a pump for circulation. Does this kit come with a pump?

Response from MoreFlavor
This kit comes with the basic Digiboil with or without a mash basket. We do not offer a complete starter kit that comes with a pump system. You are always welcome to check out our range of brewing pumps to purchase in addition or to peruse the Brezilla, Anvil Foundry, and Grainfather systems as all in one units which do include a pump.

Works like a charm
The warming can be speeded up by starting with a tea kettle of hot water. The cooling uses a lot of water, so the garden gets it. We're happy with the starter kit and our first brew.
The styrofoam keeps the spigot off the floor or table.
Received fermenter with a dent near top.

Good beginner kit
Great kit overall. The airlock is a bit fragile and broke trying to get it out of the rubber stopper after the first ferment, but otherwise no issues.
