Description

Set your sights on a brand new Torpedo Keg! The patented, sleek all-stainless design represents a new era of homebrew kegs. With features like welded stainless handles, the ability to stack with fittings in place, amazing quality and a great price we think these kegs will become the standard by which other kegs are measured.

Quality First
The first thing we at MoreBeer! check out is interior welds. We've spent a decade rejecting kegs made overseas because the interior welds have never met our standards. If a weld is not perfect and shows evident burn marks along with nooks and crannies it cannot be sanitized effectively. Torpedo kegs are machine welded and exceed our standards for quality. The weld quality is possible because these kegs made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer.

Cool Features
Torpedo Kegs were designed to stack with Ball Lock quick disconnects in place and serving which is a cool feature for some brewers who have vertical space in their refrigerator. We also like the rolled stainless steel handles. They are comfortable to grab and will never come off like some rubber handles can over time. In and Out is etched near the keg posts for easy identification which is very handy when you are connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator and trying not to make a mistake.

Overall for the price and quality, along with free shipping from MoreBeer!, the Torpedo Keg is an amazing value!

Dimensions:

  Height (in.) Diameter (in.)

Because it is a real keg that will fit in my refrigerator. I live in a NYC apt. And don’t have room for an extra fridge or kegerator. I already have two and they work well.

Torpedo kegs
These kegs are well made and stack really well. Easy to maintain and clean. As I buy more kegs for my beers and meads I will use this brand exclusively!

Think Carefully about Torpedos and Cannonballs for Home Fridges
I bought the 1.5 gallon Torpedo to compare with a 1.75 gallon Cannonball for storing and serving homemade ginger beer. I wanted to move away from Tap-a-Draft. I was also thinking about Mancann and similar systems.

Both appear to be excellent quality, but they are a lot bigger than you, but they are not "slightly larger than a milk jug" as some articles describe them. They are a lot bigger. Aesthetically, the cannonball is more attractive with its thinner handles.

Functionally, the torpedo is great, but I will probably use it for "bulk" storage and carbonation, and get something smaller (64 oz perhaps) for serving directly from the house fridge. We just don't have space for something so bulky.

I was torn on the stars and settled on 4 because it appears to be very good quality and should not be significantly penalized for not really being fridge size.

Need help with beverage line. Thank you.
I purchased 2 torpedo kegs and the kit came with regulator and c02 line and beverage picnic tap. I added a two tap manifold.
Since before I started kegging in it, I tested the hook UPS and made sure everything was sealed.
The problem I have had since the onset is the beverage line attaching to the outpost. It can take several minuets to get it to seat. Or it might not at all. Sometimes I just get so tired and give up and come back to it later. It's literally that difficult.
All set except I need help with beverage line. Thank you.

Great Quality
No more kegs with rubber tops that come lose over time. Great quality and solid build! Will purchase another one soon.

It’s a keg
Bought the 2.5 gallon. I had to replace one of the ball lock o-rings because it was oversized. The keg itself was pretty scratched up, but I didn’t buy it for the looks. Overall just fine if a bit spendy.

Skip Anything Else
Best ball lock kegs out there. I’ll take an all stainless steel product over those black rubber edged kegs any day. Stacks nicely. Seals well. The smaller ones are super portable.
Perfect fit.

Love these kegs
Great kegs! Love the build quality and the ergonomics. Stacking is an added bonus! Posts and lid are top notch and the dished bottom ensures you get every last drop out of the bottom. We use them both for fermentation and serving.
