Our Cali Mountain Pale Ale is an attempt at one of the most iconic pale ales in the country: Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.  This pale ale is a fairly simple recipe, cosisting of ultralight malt extract, Crystal 60L, and four hop additions.  This being said, don't be fooled.  The flavors blend together perfectly, creating a complex yet easy to drink homebrew.

The bittering hop additions are Magnum and Perle which provide a clean bitterness that balances the sweetness from the Crystal 60L malt perfectly.  The aroma hop and dry hop additions are both Cascade, providing a citrus & floral aroma as fresh as the forests in California's mountains!

True to the Original
I started drinking Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in the 70s when it was bottled in 12oz Bud long necks. It is one of the few beers I will purchase to this day. The Cali Mountain really closes in on the flavor and aroma of the SNPA. All my friends really like it and it is super satisfying!

Go to beer at a great value
Best overall beer- and price is right!
This is THE beer that we have with dinner or on the weekends along with some more complex brews.
When you’re overloaded with hoppy beer and just want a good tasting quality beer with an abv over 5- This is the go-to! We always have 3-4 kits on hand if this one ??

Really nice kit
This is my first kit from Morebeer & it is a hit. Easy to brew & came out delicious. At 38 IBU's I knew it was too bitter for my taste, so I cut the 60 min. hop boil time to 30 minutes & it came out perfect for my tastebuds. I gave it 2 weeks in the fermenter , then bottled and waited 2 weeks, then a couple days in the fridge & it was drinkable right away. The ones that lasted a couple weeks in the fridge just kept getting better & better. All in all it's highly recommended.

Can't wait
This beer is going to be amazing. After 7 days in primary the dry hop addition was added. At 10 days the beer was ready for bottling. Tasted amazing flat going into the bottling stage. After one day in the bottle... I couldn't resist and had to try. It already had tiny bubbles at one day and I am excited to see how it will turn out after a couple of weeks. As always, the kits from morebeer are easy to use and turn out amazing results.

Great tasting Pale Ale
I have to say, this is one of my best brews to date. I did a full boil, fermented for two weeks in an SS Conical, and dry hopped with an additional ounce of citra. Turned out fantastic. Great color and aroma. I would definitely brew this again.

Tasty Beer
I brewed this and it turned out very tasty. Very similar to SNPA, and all who tried it enjoyed it. I hit 1.056 in the fermenter with 5.5 gallons. Fermented at 68 F for fourteen days and ended at 1.010. Bottle conditioned for fourteen days and cold stored for fourteen days at 38 F. I would recommend this as an easy drinking APA.
