A relaxing vacation is only a pint glass away when you have this Tropical IPA on hand. After the SMaSH-ing success of our Mai Tai PA clone kit, Flamingos & Fronds, we decided to keep the island vibes going with a similar recipe featuring a new hop. Pineapples & Palms is centered around the incredibly fruity BRU-1™ hops, a varietal that is absolutely bursting with the sweet, fruity aroma of pineapple. Used for bittering, aroma, and dry hopping, BRU-1™ is an ideal choice for single hop beers. With no specialty malts in the mix, your taste buds will cut right to the headliner hop. In addition to the unmistakable pineapple character, you'll pick up notes of pear, apple, and a hint of fresh cut grass. You've earned a break from life's unrelenting hustle and bustle, if only for as long as there's beer left in your glass.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

I hate hoppy IPAs...or so I thought.
It's really good. Very fruity. A nice pineapple flavor. While very hoppy, it's not overly bitter. Makes me think of sitting on a beach. Perfect for after a day of yard work. This is a great choice if you like those colorful tropical drinks but are too embarrassed to be seen with one. LOL It's good brew it.Write your review here. It must be at least 20 characters long.
