This recipe falls right in line with the original featuring Munich, Crystal, and Carapils malts to create a smooth malt backbone with a nice mouthfeel. Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Directions call to add hops 3-5 days before bottling, is this correct? Also do I bag the dry hops and add to fermentor or throw them directly in the fermentor?
Jason Wolgemuth on Mar 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: For dry hopping it is best to put the hops in a hop bag with some weight in it to let it sink to the bottom of the fermenter. The ounce of hops are added after the initial fermentation has subsided. I like this brew because the hop flavor does not change over time as what happens with some other hops. Hope you enjoy this brew.
Can you double crush grain orders?
Daniel Ruiz on Aug 22, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. We cannot offer double crushing at this time. All of the grains are crushed in our mill and prepackaged. This way we can use the grain across multiple kits and orders which keeps our inventory as fresh as possible. If you'd like your grain crushed extra we do recommend looking at our wide selection of grain mills that will meet your volume and cost needs.

Easy
This one was easy and is a very nice addition to the kegerator. I am working my around the country making all these, "i can't get in my region" clones. This one is a winner and will make it a go back and do it again item.

Citra is a rockstar!
Fun recipe though I did modify it a little to be different.
On day 10, I dry-hopped 3 oz of Citra leaf instead of the pellets and added the zest of 7 tangerines weighted with glass marbles. The mesh bag stayed just below the surface.
Day 13, I racked into a 5 gal keg cleared with CO2 and kept at 68d for 7 days. I added CO2 every other day to keep at 20lb.
Day 20, chilled at 38d for 3 days with CO2 at 15lb.
Day 23, officially enjoyed with family & friends. I prefer the temp to be around 42d and keep the keg out of the fridge wrapped & clipped with thermal bubble wrap for a 45 min tasting session. ABV 6.16% Very decent flavor, head, feel.

Love it!
This beer was balanced and flavorful, even 6 months in the keg it was refreshing. It was a sad day when the keg bottomed out. I expect this to be an annual favorite for me.
