Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”.  For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

My first beer to brew, so I wanted something known to be fairly easy. Also, I like that the MoreBeer kits don't include yeast, allowing me to choose my own.

Simple and Delicious
This five gallons went quick. A great session beer with plenty of flavor. Fermented it with West Yorkshire Ale yeast. I may just make it again. If you think session beer can't be full flavored and satisfying, give this a try. Great beer!

Brewed as a 'teaching aid" to new brewers. Hit the numbers pretty well; useful for showing tastes/aromas of various ingredients. I'll be interested in trying this as an all-grain kit!

Very enjoyable first beer
This was my first brewing experience and it really hooked me. Nothing like an American beer, a real bitter. I've given out bottles to many friends and every bottle came back with a compliment. The flavor reminded me of bitters I've enjoyed south of London but not any one in particular, the closest would be Brakspear, unusual because this ale isn't hopped with either Fuggles or Goldings.
Very enjoyable brewing experience Morebeer, thanks for the new hobby!

Really nice session beer
Really good right down the middle beer, exceptionally easy to drink. Didn't stay in the kegerator long once my neighbors tasted it.

If you haven't tried it, do it next...
