Description
  • A malt-forward beer with a hint of chocolate roastiness and caramel nuttiness
  • Includes 100% Cascade hops
  • Estimated ABV: 5.25%
  • Estimated IBUs: 29-32
  • Makes 5 gallons of finished beer

If you like maltiness emphasized with a hint of chocolate roastiness and subtle caramel nuttiness this is the beer for you. Medium-low to medium hop bitterness. Light brown to dark brown in color, often with ruby highlights.

Brown Porter
First time brewing this-all grain version. Two weeks in unitank, done with main fermentation after four days, (68 degrees) let naturally carbonate at one bar, cold crashed, kegged after 14 days. Very smooth, excellent beer! This one is a keeper. Hit the numbers very closely, ABV 5.38.

this is a great Porter
The kit was all grain that i brewed in a bag. Its a very simple easy beer to make. I love the flavors, but i think next time i will add Vanilla beans in the secondary. i will order this again!

Excellent Porter
Served through nitro it's delicious and creamy. Would prefer a slightly lower ABV because I'm drinking it too quickly.

Excellent
Wonderful tasty Porter. I have added nothing to this recipe apart from serving it through nitro. A very well balanced beer. Came out a little higher than the stated 5%.

Kettle adjuncts
Brewing this Porter, is like opening a Christmas present you never know what you're going to get because it's so receptive to kettle adjuncts. I'll put Hershey's chocolate syrup and hazelnut syrup the last 15 minutes of boil. I have also added brown sugar and peanut butter the flavor combinations are almost endless.
