Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

A well-rounded english style IPA. Nice malty flavor, interesting oak addition.
I got this beer to do a trio of extract based IPA recipes- my own american ipa recipe, the DOZE black IPA recipe, and this english-style ipa. The extract kit was very straightforward. Due to my limited space and constant moving, I am stuck brewing extract-only beers. This IPA was a very interesting, unique, and flavorful extract beer. The oak is a tad strong, but adds quite a nice depth to the beer. I brewed with a dry safale-s04 strain.

The kit is generally good, but with a couple of downsides. It is quite expensive, and the oak can dominate the beer flavor. Overall, it's quite nice, but perhaps not quite as nice as some of the other IPA kits available in a similar price range.
