You claim it is closest to Pilsner Urquell as the recipe goes. We will give it a try.

I am going to pressure ferment this pilsner in a Fermzilla all rounder (Great inexpensive fermenter). I made a Yueng Ling this way and it was a beautiful color and tasted better than the bottled beer from the store. (I made it for my nephew who loves this beer). I bought for this lager one dry yeast and nutrient because I read that on pressure fermenting a little less is needed. I am going to ferment at 68 degrees. I want to see if it actually finishes in about five days. I have been reading about this and have seen many positive comments and results. Also a great idea for anyone who wants to make a lager and doesn't have a glycol chiller. Has anyone made this beer under pressure? Any advice is welcomed. Thanks.

how does this compare with the famous Czech Urquel Pilsner?
Tyrone A on Apr 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It's close but still different - but still very delicious.

Wonderful beer, tragic ending
Brewed the Bohemian Pilsner in late January. All went well. Have been lagering with glycol chiller.

Tapped it yesterday. Yummy. Nice maltiness, subtle Saaz hops, creamy nice head, and the distinctly German flavor. We consumed about a gallon of it.

Came out to my home office this morning and smelled beer. Went down to garage to find the rest of the batch running out the garage door on the floor. I had failed to turn the gas off and the corni keg tap had leaked. My fault. At least I got to taste it....

There are some really happy slugs outside my garage door enjoying Bohemian Pilsner. Will brew again.

Thank you for the great review. This is one of our favorite recipes as well. We are sorry to hear that you lost the whole batch. Hope you can track down the leak and enjoy the entirety of your next batch. Cheers!

Delicious!
This kit makes a wonderful Pilsner. I used distilled water and adjusted the water mineral profile to "PseudoBohPils" in Bru'n Water. Built up a starter with Wyeast 2124. It was about six weeks between brew day and bottling. Had a thorough diacetyl rest and rather than lagering, I cold crashed and fined with gelatin. My fermentation schedule was a little weird, but the results were great. I ended up with a beautiful, crystal clear, tasty pilsner that I was proud to serve. It disappeared quickly. I would be happy to brew this again.

What a pilsener lager must be !
I mashed it in multi step decoction way. Used WLP 830 German Lager yeast. Ended up in a dry beautiful pilsener lager, with floral aroma and slight hint of citrus flavor. Strongly recommended.

Excellent
I?ve been brewing beer for 3 years and brew about once a month. I?m an IPA fanatic but this pilsner is really good. I?ve had nothing but good comments from friends and family about this one.
I?m ordering again and brewing a batch for this summer. Great poolside summer barbeque beer.

Delicious
This is definately a kit for advanced brewers, and brewers set up for cool fermentation temperatures. I normally don't brew Lagers, so I decided to use this kit for my first one. I was not disappointed. It is exactly as described and very delicious. I will probably brew this one again.
