B3 Stout | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.
Pre-Milled:
Description

  • The original Beer, Beer, and MoreBeer! stout recipe perfected over many years and many pints. Expect a very clean, precise dark malt flavor
  • Includes Northern Brewer and British Kent Goldings hops
  • Estimated ABV: 6%
  • Estimated IBUs: 40-43
  • Makes 5 gallons of finished beer

This stout recipe is in between a sweet and dry Stout. Has the single dark grain dimension of authentic Irish Dry Stout with more of the maltiness of English Sweet Stout. Features Flaked Barley for the classic head retention, but also has Carapils for added body and Munich malt for increased maltiness. Think of it as a maltier, creamier version of Guinness with slightly reduced bitterness.

  • Makes 5 gallons
  • Estimated Original Gravity: 1.056-65
  • SRM (Color Range): 29
  • IBUs: 40-43
  • Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.6-6.4%

I've made it before. I like it. It's a very smooth, easy drinking classical stout.

The description of this stout sounds like the style of Irish stout that you can only get in Ireland.

Oddly it was because of the Toucan. I have one Tatoo, a guinness Toucan. I've been brewing since 1989. Love dry stouts. This sounded interesting. The Toucan drew me in though.

Awesomely delicious stout
I made this a year ago and it is still delicious (A couple bottles left in back of fridge) Great balance between an Irish and Imperial. I will make this again. Used Safale-05 and ended up with 7% ABV.

Don't buy a kit
This grain bill was a gummy mess. Since the specialty grains, pre milled and get jostled around during Transit, they arrived practically in powdered form guaranteeing stuck sparges

excellent kit
Nice Irish Red. I used Nottingham yeast, bittered with .5 oz Willamette and used 1 oz of EKG for flavor and aroma

one of the best so far from MoreBeer. Family came from Arizona and consumed over 3 gallons of the 5 so I did not have time to take a picture. Easy recipe but maxed my Robobrew.

One of the best stout recipes!!!
Smooth, smokey, milky... Tastes like a cross between Guiness and Smithwicks.
