Is the flavor profile for this malt similar to English malts like Maris Otter?
George R on Jul 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Maris Otter goes through a much more extensive growing, malting and kilning process, than those of standard two-row, hence the additional costs, and dynamic flavor profile.
What is the diastatic power of this grain, & despite the name, can it also be used in lagers as well?
fletcher l on Jan 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The diastatic power (Lintner) of this malt is 85. Though Pilsner malts are traditionally used for lagers, this malt can still be used for a lager. Excluding the specialty malts ina grain bill, you can expect to get a more malty and toasty flavor when using this as a base malt for a lager.

Breiss Always A Good Choice
There are a lot of malt brands to choose from and as far as I know they're all good. I choose to use Breiss for as much of my malts as I can partly because they one of the largest brands available to home brewers and I'm from a town nearby in Wisconsin. The malts have always been excellent and I tend to stick with what works.

you make it I need it
I'm new to all grain so I really do not have the experience to judge the product only that I have liked some of the brews I have completed. I give you a 5 star because you make the grain available so we can obtain it. Keep up the good work.

Time for a home brew!
This, along with plenty others in the grain bill, went into an IPA I made. I was very satisfied with the outcome. All my friends said it ended up just like Jucifer so that’s high praise in my book. Looking forward to many more successful brews.

Great for Added Maltiness
I've used this several times for different styles of beers, such as IPA, pale ale, ESB, porters, and stouts. Works wonderfully for when you need a more discernible malt flavor. really great in darker beers.
