Ss Brewtech’s flagship fermenter: The Chronical.  Designed with the same focus on features, flawless construction, and frugal price tag as the BrewBucket, but stepped up in every way!

The Chronical has a full 60° cone, terminating in a Full Port 1.5” opening, making dumping trub through the included elbow and ball valve a breeze!   Sanitary TIG welded fittings insure years of rustless contamination free brewing!  A Rotating Racking Arm (patent pending) is set halfway up the cone, allowing for the racking of trub free beer, regardless of how high your trub reaches.

A weldless thermowell allows for easy temperature monitoring and control.  Use a Ranco or Johnson Digital Temperature Controller with the Chronical fermentor to dial your fermenter’s temperature in to the degree.

Lid is easy to remove, and sealed in place with a molded silicone gasket.  Full capacity to the rim of fermenter is 7 gallons, and with domed lid and a blowoff setup (see You Might Also Need section below), ferments can go cleanly!  Laser Etched Gallon Markers inside denote what volume of brew you are working with.  Six spring-loaded Lid Clamps hold the lid in place, confirming that your Chronical is airtight, and can be pressurized to 5 PSI for easy transfers (see You Might Also Need Section below for our CO2 Adapter with Pressure Gauge).

Sturdy Stainless Legs keep your beer off the ground, and allow for clean and easy access to racking and dump valves.  We mentioned these legs are sturdy, and we meant it.

An expansive features list like this normally carries an equally hefty price tag, but the Chronical fermentor is designed with economics in mind.  At under $400, this piece of fermenting beauty is a steal for the quality and features included.  Look forward to new products and great deals to come from SS BrewTech and MoreBeer!

Hello. Does anyone know how thick the steel walls of this fermenter are?
Stefan Mueller on Nov 9, 2020
Does this product include temperature stabilization equipment?
Roger on Apr 21, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No have to add it.
Also requires drilling for cooling coil.
Temperature stabilization comes with the brewmaster model as well as 3 inch cover, butterfly valves, sample port, adjustable feet and other things. Read additional data for brewmaster edition. Probably best in long run if you have the $$.
I did my first beer in this and it fermented, but the air lock did not bubble. The beer seem to have been exposed to air and smelled very sour. I dumped the beer fearing it was bad. Any advice on how to ensure pressure releases through the air lock and not somewhere else? Yes, the top was on correctly.
Blake tonner on Jun 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Blake - It sounds like that there is a break in the seals somewhere. Make sure that all gaskets are sealing properly. Please give us a call or shoot us an email at info@moreflavor.com for additional assistance.

Good product
I have four of the SS Brewtech chronicle fermenters. Love them. We use them in my bar/brewpub for our small batch brewery.
If I had more room I’d buy more.

7 gal SS Brew Tech Conical Fermenter
This is the second. SS Brew TechConical fermenter that I own. Works great. Good quality, durability and most important produces great tasting beer. I highly recommend.
I also bought a set of casters with it as well making it conveniently mobile.
Had to buy the casters direct from SS Brew Tech as More Beer did not have them in here catalog. Do not buy the ones shown in More Beer catalog as they are for the Brew Master series, not the Chronical Fermenter.

A Fantastic Fermenter for Future Fun.
There is really not much to say, except that this is money well spent and it does it all, for a very competitive price.
Well done SSBrewtech.

Almost five stars
Just arrived today. Had beer mashing as I was cleaning and putting together. Went back through the box looking for a missing part and it wasn't there. Went back to the instructions and found out the missing part was not included. I would suggest that SS increase the price of this unit by 50 cents and include the barbed hose fitting. I guess they expect you to rack into a bottling bucket and bottle from there. Kind of defeats the purpose of a conical. Racking arm very loose?

With the good comes some...not-as-good
I love my first Chronical so much that I decided to purchase a second one. Overall, these are great- all the conical benefits without the typical conical price. Being the proud owner of two now, I did notice a couple of slight design differences between my older one and this new one that are worth noting.
Awesome: The section of tubing between the tri-clover fitting and the back/fermenter side of each ball valve is now integrated into the valve itself rather than being threaded into the back, effectively removing two hiding places for bugs.
Meh: Unfortunately those sanitary gains are slightly offset by the fact that the thermowell is now weldless. The product description lists this correctly but the photos still show the welded version. It just means a little extra attention there when cleaning and sanitizing. This is obviously far short of a deal breaker.
In any other context these little design tweaks might seem trivial but if you're anything like me, your obsession with sanitation long ago quit being healthy.
Overall it still deserves five stars and I highly recommend it.

Good overall, small flaws
Overall this is a quality product for the price. No signs of rust after a year of use. Comes apart and cleans easily with minimal crevices to worry about.
The rubber under one of the legs arrived damaged but more beer sent a replacement immediately.
My only complaint with the vessel itself so far is that the racking arm O-rings are way too thin and soft and crimp over on each other, roll, etc. They are bad enough I could no longer insert the arm and had to buy new o rings from the local hardware store.
It's nice that the brew bucket lid works on this also if you need it to be lower profile for a lagering fridge/freezer.
