60 day no hassle return policy. Details

With the WiFi enabled Inkbird controller you can monitor your fermentation temperature from virtually anywhere with an internet connection. Adjust settings with your mobile device and receive push notifications from the free companion app, InkbirdSmart, available for both iOS and Android. The app also collects data from the controller and displays the information as a daily graph of your fermentation's temperature activity.

Please note the controller will only work with 2.4 GHz WiFi routers.

The Inkbird dual stage temperature controller is an easy to use and economical controller that is perfect for home brewing. Inkbird controllers allow you to control both heating and cooling, and set independent differentials for each to keep the exact temperature you need.

The Inkbird ITC-308 WiFi controller performs many of the same functions as the Ranco or Johnson but at a more affordable price, making it a great alternative for temperature control.  Aside from brewing uses, this is a great dual relay output temperature controller for cooking (use in a smoker or BBQ), home growing (heat mats for seedlings, climate control), or any other DIY project you come up with!

Need Remote monitoring and control of my temps for fermentation and lagering. Already have a Sonoff Temp controller, but the Inkbird is a bit more sophisticated and doesn't require any assembly like the Sonoff. Glad you had it on the daily deal, thank you!

For use with a chest freezer as fermentation chamber, which outlet (heating or cooling) does the freezer plug into? Currently our ambient temps range from mid 40s to upper 70s. Thanks!
Pete on Mar 29, 2020
BEST ANSWER: You would plug the freezer into the “cooling” socket. The heating socket would be used in conjunction with something like fermwrap they sell here in Morebeer or a fish tank heater to dial in those temps even more.

Temp Control for a small refrigerator
I used this controller on a small refrigerator that I purchased to handle the fermentation of a white wine where I wanted to control the temperature at around 56F. The frig is just big enough to hold a six gallon bucket with an air lock.

I taped the temperature probe to the side of the bucket and placed the controller on a wall next to the refrigerator. The setup worked very well. Temperature has been staying in a 55-58F range.

Also very much like the WiFi feature. Only about $10 more to added this connectivity and it was good to be able to monitor and adjust the temperature when I has away from home.

I have not used the heating function yet. Would purchase again if I expand my wine making hobby.

Poor WiFi range
WiFi range is awful. I have three Orbi mesh network access points all over my house. I can go across the street over 1000 feet away and pick up signal with phone or laptop. In my garage? This drops. It also only has 2.4ghz so the range should be better, 5ghz has faster, but shorter range. I know my signal is great because my laptop and phone have full WiFi signal right next to the Inkbird. So I’d give this a 3 if you want the “smart” capabilities. Otherwise it’s perfect for what I need.

No worth a premium over non-,WiFi model
App temp history graph y-axis is not adjustable. I want to set it at 65 and see temps as it varies between 63 and 65. Too broad a range to see that small a variation.

Setting high and low alarms is nice, but cannot turn alarm off remotely. Also once alarm triggers cannot reset alarm trigger while it is in alarm status.

Inkbird Controller
Works well. As is frequently the case you just have to navigate around the software to figure out what to do. I never seem to find a step by step discussion that is easy to follow. Kept my cider in a 3 degree range very easily.

Very happy with this purchase
Converted my 1996 Kenmore kegorator into a fermentation chamber and can now control cooling and heating with this. Great to have accessibility from my phone with the Wi-Fi, but the app could use a bit of work. Good, not great. Doesn’t take away from a 5 star review though.

Wifi enabled
Replaced my old Inkbird with this. Although it still worked it became difficult to change settings. This Inkbird with WiFi makes tracking and adjusting temperature very easy. Great item!

WIFI doesn't work on 5g!
It works fine but the app to connect doesn't work on 5ghz, which apparently my WIFI is? I see that it specifies that in the details so my fault for not checking. Double check if your WIFI is 4ghz or 5ghz before buying; I would have went with the slightly cheaper option but not a huge deal.

I bought this in combination with the fermentation heater film and my kegerator. Works great to keep temp in colder months.

Inkbird Temperature controller (Wi-Fi)
Using this unit on my newly rebuilt Keezer. Replaced my Johnson controller. Keeps the unit a 40 degree with no issues. Love the Wi-Fi capability.. You can change setting from anywhere and monitor from your phone. Most of my devices in our house are on google home and this unit works with google home.
