No more boil overs, no more blow-off tubes. Once you’ve used Foam Control you’ll never brew without it again!
Foam control does just what its name suggests--it reduces foam production during  the hot-break portion of the boil, and it reduces the amount of krausen developed during fermentation.
Also known as FermCap S, Foam Control does not affect the head on your finished beer. In fact, it can actually increase the head by retaining head-forming compounds that would have been blown off during fermentation. It will settle-out of your beer before bottling or kegging as it is actually absorbed onto the surface of the yeast cells and filter media.
Add two drops per gallon at start of fermentation. Comes in an eye dropper bottle for easy use. Good for about 50 batches of beer.
Note: Keeps best when stored in the refrigerator.

This stuff is fantastic in reducing the amount of foam during fermentation and actually also lessons the amount of encrusted foam you need to clean from your carboys!!

Can I re-pitch the yeast after using this in my kettle?
Philip Diehl on May 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can pitch before or after fermcaps. Some use this to reduce high krausen and maximize fermenter space.

Great Product
Would not brew without it. Works great in the boil pot. Still get some foaming during fermentation.

No more boil overs!
I boiled 8 gallons of wort in a 15 gallon kettle, and this stuff works like magic. Barely any surface foam. Planning on doing a 10 gallon BIAB batch in the same 15 gallon kettle, starting with 13.5 gallons of water, and I would be highly confident of no boil over. Can't wait to use it for yeast starters!

Love This Stuff!
I use this when I make yeast starters so I do not get a boil over on the stove. I also use it in my 15 gallon keggle so I can boil 14 gallons of wort without a boil over in that vessel as well!

A must-have when you can't stand over your kettle
A few drops of this at the start of the boil and I never have to worry about the foam boiling over the edge of the kettle. This stuff pretty much eliminates it. I've never had a boil-over using this in the kettle.

I've made several batches since buying the bottle and it's hard to tell I've even used it yet. You'll get quite a few batches out of it, depending on the size of the batch and the number of drops you need in each.

Good stuff. Allows me to stick around for the first couple of minutes of the boil and then walk away (or at least turn my head as needed), knowing the foam is under control.

My only real complaint is that it's very thick and can be a little hard to dispense in actual "drops"... so I usually just estimate.

great stuff
works perfectly for starters in a flask, for preventing boilovers, and for minimizing loss from blowoff. can't recommend it enough if you're a serious brewer.

Works well
Just a few drops in the kettle and the foam settles right down. It doesn't eliminate boil-overs (human error), but it sure helps. Has no effect on the foam in the final product. Worth the $$.

Wouldn't be without it!
Love, love, love his stuff! Makes brewing in the kitchen a much less hazardous proposition. No boil overs, no fuss, no muss.

Can't brew without it
I brew 10 gallon batches in a 15 gallon kettle. Without this I would boil over every batch. But with it I barely just need to keep an eye on it as it comes to a boil.
