Is this item compatible with the 35L RoboBrew 1st gen?

BEST ANSWER: It is the correct length for the 35L. This is only the tube though - not an assembly, ready o bolt on.

yes it is compatible. Make sure you use stepless clamps or it will leak.

This is the second sight glass that broke on both ends

When the first one broke, I thought I was to rough with it, so I bought a replacement. It first broke off at the bottom, just above the clamp. I reattached it, now a little shorter, and it worked well for a while, then it cracked at the upper end, and when I removed it, I found it had broken at the bottom again. I think it has some thermal expansion issues.
