How do you replace the dip tube?
John C on May 17, 2024
BEST ANSWER: Remove the post using a wrench (adjustable or 7/8"). Make sure the wrench is firmly seated, you dont want to round off the corners of the post - you will be removing and reinstalling the post for cleaning.
The dip tube should be removable thereafter - if you cant get it out with your fingers you can use pliers, but be careful if you do as the rim is relatively fragile and you dont want to deform it as that can cause leaks.
What's the minimum hole size needed for this?
Cole C on Dec 8, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Looks like 1/2" to me.
Why BSP threads vice NPT?
William G on May 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: it was what was available and did not matter for my application.

it was what was available and was not an issue for my application. Besides the thread sizes generally are interchangeable. if you don't like the fit use some teflon tap.

Works well with minor adjustment
Supplied Gasket between the bottom nut and main body is too soft for a firm connection on a metal surface (corny keg), it splays out too much when tightened down. Changed it to a gasket normally used for the top of a ball lock post and works very well.

Just what I needed for a mod
I used this to add a liquid post to a Spike CF10 coil lid to gain the efficiency of the coil but keep a bev connection for a floating dip tube for transfer from the top. Added a metal washer and flat grommet below the O ring to ensure the seal and keep pressure (15psi max). It passed pressure testing, so we'll see if it works as expected with the current brew. I don't expect significant issues.
Bev and gas posts added.

Works great only flaw the dip tubes that come with them does not extend past the threads. Kinda makes it hard to connect a floating dip tube set up. Now I need to buy a bev out dip tube.
