Love these
These don't destroy the top of your gas-in/liquid-out dip tubes. I freaking love these and they clean so much easier. No more pushing the poppet out and then having to try to press it back in later with needle nose pliers. They should have just started with these 100 years ago instead....

Almost universal is what it should be called.

Some issues
I bought 4 sets of these as stock backups for damaged or lost poppets for my ball lock kegs. When I started putting them into service I had issues. The springs are much larger and stiffer than the original springs in my 2-piece poppets. The black plastic liquid side fitting does not seat properly. Father Goose said his were initially very stiff. Maybe I can break them in. But they are not working well out of the package.

Great replacement part for pin lock kegs.
When I got my used pin lock kegs I replaced the poppets with the Original parts however after a year of use they never seat correctly. I was introduced to these "universal" poppets and I love them, stiff and always seat correctly for my kegs. I will only use these in the future for my pin locks.

I was skeptical, but this thing works great
At first I was a bit apprehensive about the universal poppet, however after buying one and testing it out, it is a perfect fit for my Firestone corny. I can't wait to buy a set for my Spartanburg to see how well they work...assuming it will be flawless.

Good universal poppet
I have all ball lock kegs but have a few different post on some of them. These universal poppets seem to do the trick on all of them. The only downfall is that they don't stay in the post so be careful when taking them apart for cleaning.

Perfect solution if you have a bunch of kegs of different types
Once you switch out the o-rings from a soda keg, really the only part that's likely to be problematic for you are leaky poppets. If you have kegs from different manufacturers you know that the poppets are different from one to the next. Keep a couple of these on hand for when you discover a bad one in your keg. Because they're "universal" they tend to be a bit long/big for most situations and I think this is why some people say they're stiff or don't work quite right. I solved this by taking some snips and cutting the bottom coil off the spring. Still gives just the right amount of tension without needing a hammer to put the ball lock connectors on.

Response from MoreFlavor
I also tried snipping off the last coil to reduce the spring's length. It solved the problem of needing to use a hammer to attach the ball lock connector, but the cut end of the spring now does not sit square on the dip tube, bending the lip when you install the post. Basically, these are not universal.

Worked Well
Have used these on three different kegs. Worked well on all three. Are initially very, very stiff.
