What's the diameter of the silicon tubing? Is it 1/4" ID?
Ted Trowbridge on Feb 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The ID of the tube is 1/4". It is flexible and will stretch easily over anything with an OD of 5/16" or 1/4".
Will the ball fit inside a sanke keg that has the spear removed?
Pete Harvey on Feb 17, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi Pete, don't know the opening size of a sanke keg, but the ball itself is roughly 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Hope that helps.

Will this work in a Corney keg?
Kim Brewbaker on Feb 6, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes...sort off. And my experience has not been great. The Corny's dip tube needs to be cut--how high up to cut is up to you. Then connect the plastic tube to the trimmed piece inside the Corniy. IN THEORY, the metal ball will float on the surface and the tube below it will get clear beer. I have not had luck with that. It has the annoying habit of acting as though the keg has been emptied but is quite full.

I hope this helps.
What is the outside diameter of the stainless tube attached to the float?
Theresa F on Aug 21, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Actual outside diameter of the small section of SS tube is 8mm or 5/16 in inches

It’s missing the keg side attachment
The original floating dip tube was excellent, but I only had 3 of them so I wanted a few more. I ordered these thinking I was getting the same thing as the price is within a dollar or two of the originals I purchased. These only ship with the hose and float attachment. They do not come with the “OUT” tube attachment for the dip tube side of the keg.

won't ever keg beer without it
I make mostly IPAs with 4 ounces of dry hops and clogged dip tubes were a big problem. This completely eliminates that, and gives you clear beer from day one. For the price and ease of use, I can't imagine kegging beer without one. I was worried it would fall off without hose clamps but that hasn't been a problem. Just make sure you get the tubing on as much as possible.

Flimsy connection
The connection to the float is extremely flimsy. I used 3 times before it broke off.

Worked for about 1/2 the keg
I really wanted this to work, and it did at first. After a while, all I was pouring was CO2. I had to open the keg and reposition the tubing to get a pour. I think the tubing was against the float as it turned sideways, causing the opening to be above the beer.

Cheap, and not in a good way
The buoy broke off before I could even use it. Very bad quality. Don't recommend. Stick with the long dip tubes

Great solution for clogged kegs
This is a cheap, easy solution to your clogged corny kegs from heavily dry hopped brews. I suggest the filter as well. Works like a charm!
