Description

Grab everything you need to ferment under pressure with the FermZilla All Rounder and we'll toss in the BlowTie Spunding Valve for FREE!

This kit includes the 30L FermZilla All Rounder, ball lock cap adapters for the lid and collection container, floating dip tube with filter attachment, and the BlowTie 2 ball lock spunding valve. Everything you need to ferment under pressure, carbonate in vessel, and pressure transfer.

The FermZilla All Rounder is the most affordable pressurizable fermenter on the market. Although it doesn't feature a dump valve like the FermZilla Conical, the All Rounder carries the same pressure rating, making it an absolute steal if you're looking to ferment under pressure, perform pressure transfers, or want to carbonate and serve directly from the fermenter. The All Rounder is made from super smooth PET that's easy to clean, and the simple design means no nooks or crannies for microbes to hide. With a 4.75" lid opening, you'll have no trouble getting your arm inside to scrub away stubborn krausen rings. As with all FermZilla fermenters, the lid features molded drill locations that make installing accessories like a thermowell or Temp Twister Cooling Coil a breeze.

Why MoreBeer! loves the All Rounder FermZilla:
  • Super smooth PET makes cleaning very easy.
  • Pressure rated lid and PET material make for a better oxygen barrier than fermenters made of HDPE.
  • Lightweight and easy to move around, yet strong enough to be considered shatterproof.
  • The 4.75" lid opening makes it easy to get your arm inside and clean after use.
  • The lid is designed for the easy installation of accessories such as a thermowell or cooling coil.
  • Price! A pressurizable fermenter in this price range is an incredible value, and it opens the door for many cold-side processes that can't be done in a normal carboy or plastic fermenter.

  • FermZilla 30L All Rounder Fermenter

    • Stainless Steel Handle

FermZilla All Rounder Specs:

  • 30 L (7.9 gal) Total Volume
  • Pressure Rated to 2.5 Bar (36.2 psi)
  • Height in Stand - 21.7"
  • Height w/ Airlock - 24.2"
  • Tank Diameter - 13.9"
  • Lid & Collection Container Ports - 28 mm PCO 1881 threads
  • Temperature Rating:
    • When not under pressure, do not expose to liquids above 131°F
    • When under pressure, do not expose to any temperatures above 95°F*

*Please note that the temperature rating for the PET tank is lower when using it under pressure. When not under pressure, it is perfectly safe to transfer liquid into the tank below 131°F or to use hot liquids below this temp to clean the tank. When under pressure, you should make sure to keep your unit in an environment no hotter than 95°F and to keep your fermentation temperature below this temp as well. If you are using kveik yeast to ferment under pressure, we highly recommend using temperature control.

Installation Note: For best performance with your Floating Dip Tube, ensure there is not an excess amount of slack when the silicone dip tube is installed and shorten it if needed. With the floating dip tube installed on your empty FermZilla, you ideally want the dip tube to hang freely with just enough length for the end of the dup tube to touch the bottom of the tank.

NOTE: FermZilla tanks are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the tank is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the tank be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are available here. You will also need the D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the fermenter, the test is not necessary.

Will this fit in a 5 or 7 cu.ft. Chest freezer?
Derrick A on Jul 13, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This *just barely* fit in my 5 cubit foot chest freezer—with a short step stool to bump it up a bit so the curve of the fermenter could clear the compressor bump. And, I had to switch to a horizontal-style ball lock disconnect for the spunding valve to fit (like the torpedo ones).
Can this vessel be washed in a dishwasher?
Mike J on Feb 13, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This product is temperature rated to 122°F and dishwashers can exceed this temperature so a dishwasher is not advised.
Which stopper is needed when using the airlock?
Venn on Sep 12, 2022
BEST ANSWER: You'll need a spunding valve in order to ferment under pressure, which is the point of this fermenter.

After unscrewing the outer lid, what's the best way to remove the inner section (when pressure is released of course) ?
Kevin V on Aug 1, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Honestly, I use a thin bladed flat head screwdriver and gently pry enough room for a fingernail to get in. If you have a thin plastic putty knife I suppose that might work also. It does make small marks in the plastic but it does not affect the seal. A plastic fermenter won't live forever. Treat it as best you can and get as much life out of it as possible. Otherwise, RDWHAHB.
Is the tubing 100% silicone?

I’m having trouble removing beer odors after a fermentation from the dip tube. Most 100% silicone can be baked at 350 for 1 hour to bake off odor. I was curious if it can be done with this tube.
Colby Bullock on Sep 20, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It appears to be 100%, but it's fairly cheap enough to just buy a roll of it... is the baking part doesn't work.
The description shows the Height w/ Airlock - 24.2", I'm assuming the height with the BlowTie spunding valve attached is that or less? I have a fermentation chamber I built that has a max height of 25" that it would need to fit in. Thx in advance for your reply.
Randy R on Apr 4, 2023
BEST ANSWER: My spunding valve (blowing 2 I believe) is definitely taller than the airlock. You can force the spunding valve down to make it the same height but it doesnt feel great to do. Might be best to pick up some of the Eva tubing (the gas one) and extend the length from the outlet to the spending valve and then it won't be an issue at all. I will say, temperature control is far less important (might not matter at all) vs the pressure chosen when fermenting under pressure so getting it in a chamber is probably overkill aside from aestethitics

Cheap(ish) way to get to pressure fermenting
I connect the out gas line on this to a keg and use the off gas to fully remove the oxygen and then do closed transfers. Using this's pressure capability to fully purge a keg and then near the end of fermentation I tighten the spunding valve to start carbonating. Having oxygen free transfers and pre carbonated beer is great. After owning this, I changed every fermenter I have to being pressure capable and I doubt I ever go back.

Only negative is that every few years you have to retest the pressure capability of the fermenter but luckily you can get a replacement plastic all rounder body for far cheaper if you have issues.

Under pressure
I've done a few batches ion this so far. Works great.
I haven't had a problem removing the lid yet. It needs to be kind of hard to remove to keep pressure, Right?
It kinda suck to clean but I got some neat brushes off amazon that fit the curve pretty well.
Its doing its thing.

AWESOME!
Easy to clean and use. I haven't used the sounding valve as I had one from fermenting in kegs. This is a great upgrade from that as I can make a 5-gallon batch and I get to watch the fermentation action. Fermenting a dark lager in it now.

Limited Lifespan
The big problem is that the vessel wears out eventually and has to be replaced. That means an initial investment of $130 or so can end up costing a lot more over time. Also, the plastic can't take heat over 130 degrees, so you can't pour hot wort in. No problem if you use a chiller, which is a giant hassle, but not good for people like me who throw fermenters in swimming pools.

If you don't pressure-ferment, an All Rounder should last a very long time, but you might as well save money and use a bucket.

I bought 6-gallon Torpedo kegs for fermenting. Much better. They take pressure. They take heat. They cool fast in a swimming pool. They last.

Great product. Well engineered.
I highly recommend this fermenter. So easy to clean and sanitize and the pressure fermenting and transferring features worked perfectly. Likely going to add the hop bong once it's back in stock.

Great fermenter
Going on my second batch at the moment. It is a really good piece of equipment to add to your homebrewery. Really good deal for the price, you can ferment, carbonate, close transfer and even serve from it.
