Description

An Oregon-grown gem, these are bright-red, medium-sized berries with the familiar raspberry flavor.

Use one to two cans per 5-gallon batch of beer or mead. One can will give a slight flavor while two cans will produce a more pronounced fruit flavor. Because the product is sterile you can add directly to your fermenter for maximum flavor. There is no need to boil the puree. This product can also be used to make excellent fruit wines.

Specs:

  • Specific Gravity: 1.040 – 1.055

Very high quality, juicy raspberry character. Excellent when added in secondary to a mixed fermentation sour beer.

Taste like fresh raspberries!
This purée has great fresh flavor and mixed well with my wit beer! I’m still working on my fruit beer recipes and the strength of how much and when to add it to the fermentation but I’d rather use this than fresh fruit as it makes the whole process easier and I’m sure you can’t tell the difference

Bad batch
I checked the reviews on here and also on homebrewtalk before I ordered this. I usually use frozen fruit and thought this would make the perfect raspberry beer, low and behold the can was absolutely disgusting, messed up my entire batch. Will not be ordering again. I'll continue to use frozen fruit from now on.

Great Product
Like everything else fresh is better. But if fresh is not available this definitively better than the one dimensional extract stuff.

Great raspberry flavor
I use this to make a raspberry Russian Imperial Stout and it was delicious. If you like that sort of thing.

I love this stuff
I have used this puree for both meads and beer and it is a great, fresh product. Just open the can and dump into your secondary. No bugs, nothing to sanitize. The red raspberry mead I last made was probably the best one yet.
