the barbed fitting did not easily fit inside the 1 inch hose that we purchased. We actually used a hammer and wood block to insert it enough to put a hose clamp on it. Yet, the TC fitting to barbed 1 inch fitting that we also purchased, was loose in the same hose. So one or the other is not manufactured properly.
