Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater wrap! Unlike those old heater belts, the FermWrap covers a wide area of your carboy or fermentation vessel, promoting an even heat distribution (11" tall x 25" wide.). Using tape to adhere, the FermWrap can be attached directly to your fermenter, or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20 degrees Fahrenheit. This differential can be increased by using our carboy bag to insulate a carboy (this has been tested). To decrease the temperature differential, stick only a portion of the FermWrap to the fermenter.

With 40 watts of heat spread over almost two square feet it provides gentle even heating. Draws 40 watts. 115V.

For more precise results, we recommend a temp controller and carboy thermowell for the ultimate in fermentation temperature control. Or for the best control, use the dual stage control and carboy thermowell, as well as a refrigerator, to control both the high and low temps.

Item does not include carboy as pictured.

Can this be used on plastic Fermontser 7gal?
Timothy Chilcoat on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have also used it on my Spidel 30 L ( 7.9 Gal). And works excellent. I did use a beach towel to wrap around my plastic Spide 30 L as temps were dropping down into the 30 s in my shop.
Can this be used on the stainless steel brewbucket fermenter?
John Lilli on Apr 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: On the outside of the fermenter yes. Works great with a bit of extra insulation around it for improved heat retention.

Very good to kettle sour beers and fermentation control in cold situations. Needs some exterior insulation to keep warmer temperatures

It worked like a champ. I have my beer inside a temp controlled chest freezer in the garage & some nights the temp gets down in the 40s. So without the wrap my beer would drop into the 50s the garage. But the FermWrap, it kept it right at 68F.

Looks like it will work great in the laggering/serving fridge! Find out for sure after I have something to lager in there and some cold weather!

More Power!
So far this has worked very well and is much more powerful than the narrow 15W belt I bought first. This unit pairs well with one of the Inkbird or Johnson controllers.

Awesome tool to keep your fermentation at a stable temp. Keep in mind it can only go ~15 F warmer than ambient temp.

perfect for my needs
This works great. I had problems heating up past 80F while brewing a saison, using only the bottom heating pad. I bought this to try instead. It immediately heated up to what I needed... around 88F. It heats fairly fast as well. Only used it once so far, but I'm definitely satisfied.

works well
This, in combination with the Inkbird controller, keeps my fermenter at a much more uniform temp than any other heater that I've tried. I haven't had it long enough to speak to reliability. The only thing that could improve it would be some permanent Velcro straps to make removal for washing easier.

Easy to use
I have this taped to the wall inside my fermentation chamber (chest freezer) attached to dual phase temperature controller. works great to pull the temp up when the nights get a little too cold

it works
I wrapped this around a 60L Speidel fermenter and it gained me a few degrees, but wasn't enough to keep me in range in my garage. I thought of wrapping blanket around the outside but worried about getting too warm. decided to drag the fermenter from the garage to a spare bathroom, ill keep the heater for use in the future.

Carboy Heater Blanket
Since my wine cellar is not temp controlled, it is 55 deg right now as it is winter in the Sierra foothills. With this carboy heater plugged directly into a plug, the car will only get up to 68 deg.
I would like ti to get a little hotter, even if I needed a controller to reduce it some.
