Description

If your home draft system is a mix of ball lock kegs and commercial sanke kegs, having a coupler with ball lock adapters is a huge plus. This allows you to have all your draft lines ending in a ball lock quick disconnect, making it quick and easy to swap lines from sanke keg to ball lock.

Note that the gas-in adapter has a small line cut into the body of the adapter where the bev-out adapter is smooth.

The check valves will need to be installed before first use. The silicone check valve is inserted on the side gas-in port and the check ball and ball retainer are inserted on the top bev-out port.

  • D-style sanke coupler
  • Stainless body
  • Stainless probe
  • PRV rated to 4.5 BAR (65 psi)

Can someone explain or diagram exactly how the check valves are supposed to be installed? The other reviews were not detailed enough. This should definitely come with instructions.

BEST ANSWER: Google sanke coupler check valve diagram and you will find pictures showing where the check values go. Morebeer does not allow links. Sorry
I decided to remove the black washer/o-ring on the gas QD. I did this because the rubber check valve insert was butting up against the back washer. I didn't see the need for it since the check valve is acting as a gasket between the QD and the tap already. Anyone else feel the same?

Great idea
Worked great. Hand tightened on the ball-lock fittings is more that adequate and makes cleanup very simple.

.Here are instructions.
Here are INSTRUCTIONS - works perfectly, for assembly since it comes with NONE (otherwise 5 stars) - 1) for people new to Sankey- gas on the side, fluid flows vertically up through the top. 2) it comes with a "duck bill" co2 back flow stop, insert the narrow end into the horizontal inlet, then screw the gas ball lock on. 3) the fluid outlet has a back flow plastic ball and cage, place the ball in the vertical hole, the slide the cage sleeve (cage opening UP) in and over the ball. this allows the ball to fall down and seal, but when fluid flows up and out it pushes the ball up to the cage which is slightly larger and allows fluid flow around and up/out.

Pro tip recommendations-
Do not over tighten, it will smash the neoprene washers out of place and cause leaks
Double check you have the correct gas and fluid ball locks with your couplers before screwing them tight
When in doubt, Google a diagram
SUPER PRO TIP!!!!! BUY THE 90 DEGREE ANGLE FITTING MENTIONED IN THE OTHER REVIEW! I have a full size fridge converted to kegorator and THOUGHT because it was taller that I would have enough top space. Nope. Now I'm paying $10 shipping for a $7 fitting to get this thing

Works well, but needs instructions..
No instructions were included, so you're on your own. There are some nuances to getting it fitted correctly. Make sure you put the correct "liners" (for lack of a better term) in the QD fittings. They are like silicon sleeves that fit into the gas and liquid fittings. Used a little common sense to get the correct installation but would be nice to have instructions. Also, the fittings leaked when first installed. After removing them, I discovered that the rubber gaskets were wadded up when tightened. I re-installed and had the same issue, so wrapped each fitting with teflon tape to ensure a good seal. No leaks in either gas or liquid fittings after that. As others have stated, you will need the 90 degree connector when using a torpedo keg in the KOMOS kegerator due to height restriction. Also need to put teflon tape on that connection for a good seal. I had a 16 gal keg connected for over 2 weeks and still had 1/2 full 5 lb CO2 tank when I disconnected. Interested to hear if others have leak issues and how they were resolved...

Works great but needs low profile adaptor or ball lock fitting for Komos Kegerator
Works great and allows me to have commercial kegs along with my home brew kegs.

Only issue is this is a Komos branded product and it does not fit in a Komos Kegerator. You will also need to purchase this Low Profile Elbow. https://www.morebeer.com/products/profile-elbow-bend-keg-couplers.html I think there are also low profile ball lock fittings but having the elbow allows you to connect and disconnect the fittings while the keg is in the kegerator.
