The most eye-catching difference between the KOMOS unit and other kegerators is definitely the capacity. This is the first kegerator we have offered that comes with a quadruple tap tower option, and that’s all thanks to the redesigned interior. Most kegerators position the compressor on the right or left side of the inside floor, making one side shallower than the other. KOMOS positions the compressor in the middle so both sides of the interior have an equal depth. This seemingly small detail allows the unit to hold up to four 5-gallon Slimline Torpedo or Ball Lock Corny kegs.
Dual gas line inlets are absolutely clutch if you want to serve beverages at two different pressures or use two different types of gas. The previous model had one inlet that was only wide enough for a single line to pass through. Now both inlets are just over 3/4" in diameter and feature PCO 1881 threads. This threading allows you to use the plastic Carbonation Ball Lock Cap (FE133) as a quick connect option for your gas lines.
Upgraded condenser, evaporator, and insulation make this unit highly efficient, yet quiet, so you can serve ice cold beer in even the warmest temperatures. Extra Wide Temperature Range is Perfect for Homebrewers
The KOMOS kegerator is tailored to a homebrewer's needs. Take, for example, the extended range digital controller with an adjustable temperature range from 26 - 82°F. This allows homebrewers to use as fermentation chamber and is something that other kegerators don't do. Although the unit does not provide heating, the extended range allows you to program the internal temperature at say an ale fermentation temp of 68°F and will provide cooling whenever the temp rises above that set point. With the insulation provided by the kegerator, heating should rarely be needed, but you can always place a low wattage heat wrap inside the unit if ever needed. The digital controller always displays the temperature and is easily adjusted from the front of the kegerator with the door closed. It's pretty nice.
NukaTap Stainless Faucets and Towers
All kegerators come with NukaTap faucets for mounting on the stainless tower. NukaTap is the newest brand of forward sealing faucets that boast a lower thermal mass for reduced first pour foam. They feature a "nuke-shaped" internal shuttle that is made from TPV, which provides superior laminar flow to further reduce foaming issues. Yes indeed. I bought mine without the tower as I already had one. I cut out an area in the back of the bar wall to allow for air circulation. I has worked great since installation.

Are the sides of the kegerator supposed to get warm? They get pretty hot on mine? The kegerator is in an open are. So the he isn’t trapped. Seems very inefficient.

The evaporator coils are built into the sides of the kegerator instead of having delicate coils or fins on the back like older style refrigerators. If the sides are warm, it means the heat transfer is working. The warmer the ambient temperature, the warmer the sides will need to be to cool the inside.
I want to get the 4 tap version but may not always have 4 kegs in it. What way do you guys recommend to shut off each one individually? Thanks for any help

Cleaning the lines and taps when not in use is a good idea, of course, and the tap on the tower will still be there. If you really wanted to, you could take disabled taps off, but then you'd just have a hole where the tap used to be, which isn't much better. Gas lines don't have any hardware on the tower, and it's easy enough to simply reconfigure the gas-line for 1, 2, 3, or 4 (or more, if you buy extra branching fittings!) keg connections.I leave mine configured for four ball-lock connections at all times though, and just leave the ball-lock connectors on unused gas lines loose --- if they're not attached to a ball-lock keg fitting, they should remain sealed.

I have the 2 tap but don’t always have two kegs tapped and have no issues with leaks. I use the duotight fittings with the flare ball lock connectors. When I was setting up my system I hooked up a Co2 tank and turned up the pressure. I put all the fittings in a glass of Starsan to check for leaks. I sprayed my “T” fittings with Starsan to check for leaks there. I don’t use any shutoffs.
As long as there is no liquid line connection the specific tap will not be operational. I have both a 2 and 4 tap system and can move beers around and usually there is 1 or 2 open not useable taps.
As others have said, when finished, clean the lines and turn off the gas to that particular tap, unless you are using ball lock, then you don't need to do anything, clean and go!
As long as you clean the line, you can simply just not have the line connected. If you are worried about the gas line, you can install a manifold with shut-off valves.

When the display is of the current temperature (which it usually is) the temperature adjustment buttons do nothing. Hold a button down for a few seconds to adjust the setpoint instead.
I want to use this for a gas line quick connect on the back of the Komos V2 kegerator. What do I need to get to convert the quick disconnect to accept the gas line? I know what I need for the barbed side.

I had been considering a kegorator for years for my home bar. Finally decided to take the plunge. I picked this one for 3 main reasons,
1) ability to hold 3 slims 2) designed for CO2 talk to be mounted on back 3) wide temp range least leads me to believe a heavier duty unit
So far (about 3/4 thru my first slim) I'm very pleased and regret not making the plunge sooner. My corner placement makes it idea for the tank mounted on back.
One surprise is how effective the tower fan is. I've used with and without and seems to work well. Especially that first pour.
It keep temp fairly steady and guage seems accurate. The unit is not silent when the compressor is on, but even just watching TV or music in the background drowns it out. I wouldn't hate if the compressor was slightly less noisy, but its not really an issue.
Assembly was pretty straight forward. A few more details would have been helpful but even tho I've never used a kegorator or bought a keg in my life it was pretty easy. And what was very helpful was doing the CO2 leak test. This allowed me to figure out how it all works and get it dialed in. I actually did the test a couple times to ensure no leaks and seed how to fine tune the pressure.
I was considering getting the upgraded wheels. Mainly to add height and if I wanted to temp use on patio. I still might, but the standard casters work well on my tile floor.
I bought Komos kegerator with 3 taps and the optional large casters. This unit arrived damaged in shipping and MoreBeer support was terrific, which is comforting and appreciated. I received a replacement unit within a reasonable time which has been operating well.
The smaller casters are OK if only moving the unit within the same room, but the larger ones are convenient for moving around the house for events.
Overall a good kegerator at a good price point, and excellent customer service
I have owned mine since September 2021. It has been making loud noises more and more frequently and I assume it is only a matter of time before something goes. A query to customer service noted that loud noise is a known issue with these units. And I recently saw in a home brewers (for sale) facebook page someone posted their unit they bought around the same time that already needs a new compressor. This elicited a lot of responses from folks commenting with similar problems.
It does just what it says on the tin--it's a compact kegerator that handles four (ball-lock) Corny kegs, comes with nice, forward-sealing faucets, regulator, bracket for the CO2 tank, etc. It's worked well the last few months, and I've been very happy with it. Except...
I'd dock half a star for two minor issues: (1) the 0-100 psi gauge on the regulator doesn't make it easy to dial in an accurate serving pressure. If you're feeding a board of secondary regulators, it's fine, but if you want one serving pressure for everything inside, you'll want to replace the gauge--which is easy and inexpensive to do. (2) The unit comes with a nice set of casters, including two double-locking casters. They roll nicely, which makes it easy to move the unit around when needed. The problem is that the mounting point for the casters toward the front of the unit is far enough back from the front edge that it's pretty much impossible to use the locks on the casters.
Would have been 5 stars except for two things: the regulator gauges and the gas line. I ordered the two-tap tower and it came with an extra beer line but not an extra gas line. The regulator gauges are horrible - they don't seem to be designed for beverage use as the pressure ranges are beyond anything you would use making it difficult to dial in a precise keg pressure.
Not impressed. I had considered the larger model and glad i didn't spend the extra.
So far not impressed. Assembly instructions and pictures some steps were different and different from the actual unit. Following instructions for connecting the duotight fittings some still leaked. Temperature controller fluctuates 1 degree above and below the setting causing the unit to shut off/on often.

Komos v2 kegerator with nuka taps stainless steel faucets
Very nice, arrived on time, just make sure you get the right connections for the keg that you have or get. The beer lines provided are small to prevent foaming. Overall high quality, and works great.
So far everything has been great. Only 4 stars because the items inside the kegerator were not secured and caused the floor to be dented. More of a cosmetic issue than a function problem. Everything was easy to put together and the duotite fittings are great. Wish I had these on my previous keezers. Overall good product.
I had a Sam's kegerator gifted to me 7 or 8 years ago that I wouldn't have bought but it worked just fine for me until recently. But, while I would prefer to build my own, I didn't have the time and was impatient but after seeing a few years of similar kegerators, I knew which one I wanted. I've only had it for a few weeks but it came packed well, instructions were sufficient (but there's lots of vids on the tube) and is quiet and lots of space! Lots of little things to make this a prize! As others have said, a tiny knock from me would be the bright digital readout for temperature. You can always put tape over it or whatever. Nothing is perfect, except pouring your own beer.
So far a great kegerator that does almost everything as advertised. Definitely a great purchase. The only little downfall is the fact that it will not hold 3 of the 1/6th barrel kegs if you get the rubberized ones. The bare ones will just barely fit, the rubberized definitely won't.
Working fine so far. It acts a little strange though. While listening to it trying to bring down the temp, I can hear the compressor kick-in for about 3 seconds - then shuts off - then 3-4 mins later - it succeeds to run the compressor. Not sure if that is the nature of the product, sounds weird. So for now we'll keep an eye and ear on it.
I upgraded to this unit, to bring my beer into the house from the garage. Initial impression is excellent, quality of the unit is excellent and well packed. I ordered the 4 tap version and it had no problem with 3 corny kegs and 1 sixtle. The main issue I have with giving this 5 stars is the tap tower. With the diameter needing to be larger, the attachment points are on the inside of tower and required a 12 inch screwdriver extension that I did not have. The attachment bolts were, in my opinion, undersized for the application. I was able to get the back bolts tightened, but not the front pair. (Possibly stripeo because of the angle needed to get around the faucets) causing the tower to wobble when closing the faucets. A better solution would be larger bolts that go through the top and fastened from the inside. Lastly, the NukaTap faucets are outstanding, easily the best I've owned.
After a couple years of serving out of a Keezer I decided to make to jump to a purpose built Kegerator. After considerable research I settled on the KOMOS V2 and so far I'm pretty satisfied. PROS: Relatively easy to set up. User friendly controls. I really like the Nuka Tap SS Faucets.
CONS: Really only one but it could be a big one for some, I can't fit my CO2 bottle in the cooler with my Kegs. I had to mount it outside the cooler. I'm using new Corney Kegs with the 2 handles on top and they're defiantly larger than the slim line kegs so it's tight fitting 3 of them in there. Fitting 3 and a CO2 bottle or 4 kegs is not possible unless you have the slim line kegs.
Note:It was Apparently dropped during shipment and it arrived upside down but it is working fine. Nothing against the unit I just wish Fedx had taken better care.
The cooling fan keeps the temp nice and even throughout, and the tube to the tower keeps lines and taps cools. Getting a nice pour first time without wasting beer even if i haven’t poured one in a few days. The only thing i wish is that there was a little more space inside for my 3 way secondary regulator, or a way to mount it to the back where there is a small amount of dead space. This is where coils seem to be so that is a no go.
I was really impressed with the overall quality of this kegerator. It has a stainless steel tower - not the cheap plastic found on many others. There is detail paid to cooling the beer lines all the way up to the faucet which prevents excess foaming and waste. Forward sealing Nukatap faucets reduce the buildup of dried beer residue and are vastly superior to standard faucets simply because of the threaded attachments for filling growlers or dispensing stouts. The only "cons" are: 1) The instructions for setting the temperature are missing a key piece of information. It would have been nice to know that you need to hold the up/down button for 3 seconds before you can change the temperature. You can frustratingly press the buttons all you want otherwise and nothing happens. 2) Assembly is kind of a pain but manageable. Make sure you put the trim ring on the tower BEFORE installing the shanks, beer lines, faucets, and tower sleeve.
Couple things that was a little confusing for first time kegerator buyers. Had to figure out which tubing was for gas and liquid. Book didn’t tell me. Then had to watch a youtube video to see how to cut the lengths of the tubing. Just watch a youtube video and all is good. Everything else about kegerator is awesome. Actually first one came in damaged and they sent out new replacement immediately and had in 2 days and sent bad one back. Real easy to deal with exchange. Totally recommend. So sieked now.
I purchased this kegerator for two reasons. I wanted to replace my existing draft system that was housed in an old refrigerator and also to have a place to ferment lagers under cold conditions. I am very happy with this product. It was easy to assemble and works as advertised. I recommend getting the duotight fittings because that really makes assembly simple. I am using a previously purchased regulator with dual shutoffs. This allows me to force carbonate on one keg and keep the other at dispensing pressure. This was a good buy!

I have had my KOMOS kegerator for about 2 weeks. The room on the inside is I unbelievable. My old kegerator could hold 3 corny kegs. Now I can put 3 corny kegs and still have room for some bottles or cans or even yeast. If this kegerator holds up , there is no doubt it was money well spent.
3 Tap with Nukataps, a Well Designed, High Quality Kegerator
Waited a long time to purchase a kegerator and equipment and the new Komos is everything I needed. Specifically:
1. Interior size: I have 3 Komos 5 gal slimline kegs and a 10lb CO2 bottle inside. Also fits a 1/4 slimline Sankey keg. Ensure you buy the 90 degree fitting (D1514) for the beer outlet on the Sankey tap to adapt to a ball lock fitting, Otherwise It will not clear the roof of the kegerator and you'll have to tilt the keg to fit.
2. Temperature control: The unit pulls down quickly and holds temperature well, provided you have good clearance around the sides for good airflow. Good range of temperature control. I only run the fan when I plan to serve beer to cool the tower.
3. Ease of set up: Download the manual first from the MoreBeer site, then follow the directions as written for a hassle-free set up.

(NOTE: The D1514 referenced above is almost impossible to search for on the website.) The unit comes with the Duotight fittings and lines needed to run both beer and gas. Think about how you want to set up your gas lines before ordering to ensure you have the right combination of Duotight fittings on hand.
5. Nukatap faucets work great. Get the serving pressure adjusted correctly for your beer style and you'll get consistent pours with a nice head.
High quality unit with great looking hardware. It was easy to setup with online instructions. Love the fact that I can put four corny style kegs in one kegerator!
I shopped all over and this had the best quality to price ratio.
Just a couple of things prevent me from giving this a full 5 stars: It didn't come with instructions, but I was able to eventually find them online here in the product description. Even with the instructions in hand, I felt they left a lot to be desired -- especially in regards to setting up the gas lines. This kegerator is also louder than I was hoping for -- not terrible, but loud enough I'm thinking of moving it to a less desirable part of the house just so I don't hear it.
With all of that said, I definitely do NOT regret my purchase.
Kegerator came in fast and super packaged so no damage during shipping. There was no installation guide but it was self explanatory, only afterwards to find the guide online. I bought the Duotight couplings for all connections and these are leak proof, even with trying to fit all inside. Mine is the 4 tower and getting that attached was pretty hard as you need to squeeze your arm with a screwdriver and bolt inside trying to find the matching hole. Currently have 4 Torpedo Slimline 2.5 gallons carbonating and will tap soon. Now for the not so good thingm it's loud around 50 without tower fan and 58 with fan on. I does gurgles and cracks a lot. Currently have it in the living room and have been told that it might have to move.
