Description

These metal lug finish lids are a direct replacement to the lids included with the FE319 1 Gallon Glass Jar Fermenter Kit. After prolonged use, the metal lid may show signs of rust similar to mason jar lids. This is the only part of the fermenter kit that may need replacing from time to time. You can reuse the original airlock grommet, but if you need a new one see below under You Might Also Need.

Doesn't work properly

These are nice lids and they fit the jars perfectly. The only issue I have with them is that the hole drilled in it are bigger than 1/2" so the grommet is lose and it doesn't make a tight seal so air escapes when you're fermenting. This mistake renders these lids useless unfortunately.

Hole size fits nothing I have.

The hole for the airlock is not a standard size that I can think of, such as the black grommet for any white plastic fermenter bucket. And no rubber stopper is small enough. Can't assure a good seal. Am I missing something? Do I need to use a drill to make a bigger hole?
