This simple system includes virtually everything you need to keep your beer temperature closely regulated at an amazing price. Needed, but not included, is a cooler filled with water and ice, or a glycol chiller.

Can I buy this but without the Anvil temperature controller?

Can this get the internal temp low enough to support lager temps if stored in a regular temp room?

BEST ANSWER: This chiller can get as cold as the source of cold water that you are pumping through the beer. If you're using a lot of salted ice and making sure there is always solid ice in the cooler then you have a good chance of maintaining 40 degrees or less. It is a lot of upkeep to keep a batch that cold.
