Description

Our Premium BIAB (Brew In A Bag) kettle and bag kit is the most affordable way to get into all-grain brewing. This hardware kit includes a stainless steel kettle, ball valve, hose barb connection, 1/2" plug and plumbers tape to seal the connections. While it does not include directions (you can easily Google BIAB), the basic concept is that you place the bag in the kettle, add the grain from your recipe along with a measured amount of hot water and let it steep for 60 minutes. You then remove the bag and boil with hops in the same vessel. Very easy.

Available with either an 8.5 or 14 gallon kettle.

Brew in a bag kit includes:

Stainless steel brew kettle with 1/2" FPT fittings
1/2" stainless steel ball valve, with stainless hex nipple and 1/2" stainless steel barb
Stainless steel plug for thermometer port
29" X 29" nylon mesh bag with drawstring
Roll of plumbers tape

Will the port for the thermowell be immersed in a 5 gal batch?

BEST ANSWER: The port on mine is even with the 4 gallon mark. If you have 5 gallons in the kettle thermo well will be submerged.

Yep no problem. I initially just capped it and used a thermapen to check temp. So much better with a thermometer in the port. Works great. I do only 5 gallon batches

Is there a false bottom offered for the 14 gal pot that I can purchase?

BEST ANSWER: The best false bottom for the 14 gallon kettle is the domed false bottom (AG405). This is a great false bottom that can be used in any kettle. To attach it to your pot you will need a barb fitting (H616) to thread into the internal threads of your kettle.

Great Kit

This kit makes the jump to all grain so easy you will not believe it. So far the bag is holding up very well and the kettle is a great size to avoid boil overs.
