Description

If you want to learn the art of homebrewing, this book is the place to start.

How To Brew contains basic information for the first time brewer and technical information for the Master Brewer. This was the first book to include legitimate in-depth information on all-grain brewing at home. The author is a passionate homebrewer and a metallurgist by trade. There is a great section on the different metals involved in brewing and how to treat and care for them. The information in this book is so valuable, you will continue to refer back to it year after year--we know we do.

This is a new and updated version of How To Brew with more emphasis on the "top five priorities":

  • Sanitation
  • Fermentation Temperature Control
  • Proper Yeast Management
  • The Boil
  • The Recipe

There are also 5 new chapters:

  • Malting and Brewing
  • Strong Beers
  • Fruit Beers
  • Sour Beers
  • Adjusting Water for Style

A Must Have!
It's the brew Bible, everyone should have a copy. It's packed with info, a good read for beginners and experts alike.

Book showed up dusty and bent
Great content and I highly recommend however the book showed up very dusty and the book has bent page ends almost looked like it was mishandled (not in shipping) during packaging. I should've just found a used one and purchased it.

It is as engaging as it is a definitive reference.
The most comprehensive and approachable text on homebrewing.

The first book any home brewer should buy
If you could only have one book on brewing this would be it. I wish I had found it 7 years earlier in my home brewing career. John Palmer has been working on new editions of this piece of art for a while now. It does a great job of touching on just about every brewing subject you could want. I keep my copy of "How to Brew" with me on every brew day. It's just so dang useful. Lets face it Palmer has the best nomographs out there!
