Description

Comes with a 3/16" nipple, back nut, and plastic collar. It requires a 1" hole for installation. When set in place, the shank will only have about 4" of length to pass through your wall or fridge door, due to the length of the collar and back nut.

Installation note: On a fridge there is generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling.

Dimensions:

  • 6-1/4" - Total Length (Tip to Tip)
  • 5-1/8" - Shank Length (Without Nut & Nipple)
  • 3-3/4" - Thread Length
  • 4-5/8" - Pass Through Length
  • 3/16 in. Nipple

Is this a stainless steel shank?
Robert on Aug 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Robert, yes this is 304 stainless.
My previous question did not show up so I will try again. The description does not match the pics. One of the pics shows tailpiece, shank nut, and shank nut washer in addition to the back nut and the plastic collar. Which is correct, the description or the pics? Thanks.
Boyd Green on Nov 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Boyd - This uses a hexnut and tailpiece, and we will be updating our website.
Who manufactures this shank?
James Barrett Salisbury on Feb 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Some parts of the shank are assembled in-house but the shank itself is brought over from overseas.

Works as expected and good quality. Wish the barb was part of the body. The design requires another gasket for the barb so just another maintenance point.
