The famous "Weihenstephan" yeast from Germany. A widely used yeast strain that gives beer a clean finish and lets the malt really come through. Give this yeast a try and you might just have a new favorite!

Like it better each time
Another reliable yeast, not the fastest starter but for lighter lagers, leaves a very clean beer, minimal fruit overtones, and no diacetyl. Nice not having to mess with large starters.

Good Lager yeast
Good dry Lager yeast, similar to S189. I use two packets for a 5.25 gal batch. Ferments very well at 55 degrees.
My only reason for 4 stars is that I do not get as much attenuation as I would like (78%).
I just got a pure Oxygen set up hopefully that will solve my problem.

nice clean ferments
I accidentally let a beer get up to 70F with this yeast, and it was totally fine, no fusel or weird ester. This is now one of my favorite yeasts

Very reliable and consistent!
This is a quality yeast. It is very forgiving for a lager yeast. I've fermented very clean lagers at ale temperatures (65-68 F). I have noticed that it can have a strong sulfur smell when fermenting cool, in the low 50s. Love this stuff!

Oh yah!
This yeast dependably makes lagers as well as any liquid yeast. It needs a full 30 days in primary to get full benefit. Use 2 re-hydrated packs if OG is over 1.060.

Good Specialty Dry Yeast
If you are looking for an easy care dry lager yeast with a German lager flavor profile, this is it. Ferments well at low temperatures and starts easy by sprinkling directly on aerated wort. Can't go wrong with this one.
