Can you swap out the barbs for quick disconnects?
Dylan Ressler on Feb 25, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No, it is not possible. I cut 3 inch lengths of silicone hose and attached them to the barbs. Then I added 1/2 inch quick disconnects that had barbs to the other end of the hoses. More Beer items H507A and H507B depending on your requirements.

Impressive!
Frankly, I don’t write many reviews but I am compelled in this case. Using a robobrew with the stock emersion chiller for years. I finally upgraded to this, and I will NEVER look back. Using a recirculated ice bath with a pond pump for the water, you can take 5.5 gallons of wort from 180F to 68F in UNDER 5 Minutes. This thing is impressive when used correctly

Like others have said, pump boiling water/detergent through it when you’re done, and flush boiling wort through it for 10 minutes before you use. Good to go..

Cooled boiling wort to pitching temp in one pass. Works better than I expected at that price.

Ale pitching temperature every time
I use this with a 5 gallon cooler and a small pond pump. 20# of ice in the cooler and top off with water at the start of brew day - cooling water is around 48 degrees. Place the pond pump in the cooler and hook to chilled water in. Hot water out goes in sink for cleanup. Once boil is done I turn on the pond pump, open the kettle valve all the way and let it rip. Typically get to 64-68 degrees, pitch yeast and seal the FV. No more ice baths. Takes less than 10 minutes for knockout.

I don't have pumps so I used it to gravity feed, and it worked way better than I thought. Surprisingly efficient for such a low price.
