Whirlfloc Tablets

Whirlfloc Tablets

Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.

A blend of Irish Moss and purified Kappa carrageenan that encourages the precipitation of haze causing materials such as proteins and Beta glucans. Prepared in a quick dissolving, highly soluble tablet form. Almost everyone who tries Whirlfloc tablets prefer them to regular Irish Moss. Add for the final 5 minutes of the boil.

Note: One Whirlfloc tablet is good for 10-15 gallons of wort. We suggest using half a tablet for 5 gallon batches for most beers.

work like a charm
whirlfloc works like a charm and does a better job keeping the trub in the brewpot than irish moss. I find that I only need 1/2 tablet for 6 gallons and a full tablet for 12-16 gallons.

First Class Fining Agent
This is the single fining agent I use anymore. One tablet and little time make most my brews close to gin clear.

I am an all grain brewer.
Always use the tablets. One brew I did not have any so had to complete brewing without. Result: hazy beer. Always have very clear beer other wise.
