Does this fit on the holes that comes in a SS Brewtech kettle?
Michael Ferguson on Jun 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It doesn’t fit the pre drilled ones but ssbrewtech does sell a drill bit that fits this. So you can drill your own.

Simple but Effective
I have run this a for a couple of tests. It has performed just as I had hoped. My hope is that it will last and I won't have any rust issues.

SS Heating Element
Hooked it up to a 110v motor controller so i could control heat output. Works very well to hold a desired temp in a fermentation tank.

Gets the Job Done
I use this in conjunction with my Bayite Controller designed to handle the 1600w 110v element.

Doesn't get the full 5 gallon boil to full rolling boil. (Made 209 F) but does move the wort enough to mix it up. Made a good Amber Ale with it and looking forward to more brewing with my new system.

Gets me out of the kitchen!!

It's Rusty!!!!
Given to me as a gift, so I happily punched a huge hole (larger than normally needed for others that I researched) and used it ONCE to heat reverse osmosis water to 165F for about 2 hours for my mash and this happened. It rusted like an antique car! Emailed More Beer a week ago and still no response. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it did heat well. Keep in mind you'll have to purchase the cord for about $5 to convert to 110v, but at this rate it'll become oxidized dust soon. Morebeer great on grain, hops, etc but don't think I'll be buying anymore equipment from them.
