Holes in screen are too big
I bought this item at this store about 1.5 years ago. The screen does not work well for mash tuns. The holes in the screen are too big (1/8" diameter). Too much malt gets through the holes eventually clogging the outlet when you want to drain into the boil kettle. It works well in a boil kettle to filter out leaf hops but I cannot recommend to use this setup for a mash ton. There are other conversion kits with smaller holes.

I've used this false bottom for at least 8 years. My efficiency is a constant 84%, so I have to do math if I am brewing a recipe (usually the default is 70%) to use less grain and achieve the same OG. I've never had a stuck sparge as the prior review states, no matter how fast I go. I can collect 13+ gallons in 30 minutes without a loss in efficiency. I highly recommend this false bottom for a direct fire keg mash tun (tungle). Stirring the mash with a large stainless mash paddle during multiple steps, rests, mash out, etc. and it stays in place. I use a stainless hose clamp above the screen on the tube to keep the screen in place. No movement and have never seen grain or scorching under it. I use a weld-less set up with it. If your thinking about buying this, DO IT.
