1.5 L - Pre-gelatinized unmalted wheat that can be used as a cereal grain/adjunct in the mash, and can replace malted wheat if you desire. Increases body and head retention, as well as adding a very slight toasted flavor. We recommend using Rice Hulls with this grain to avoid a stuck mash.

Wheaty Goodness
I've used both unmalted wheat and torrified wheat and the difference is quite negligible. Awesome head retention. Fantastic wheat flavor. Love this stuff.

Perfect for IPAs!
I use 1#-5# in all my IPAs (depending on batch size). Add a nice flavor profile and helps with head retention.

Do your homework
This is a good product, and easier to use than one might expect. This stuff is pre-gelatized, but it is NOT malted. Being pre-gelatinized means that you do not need a cereal mash, but you will need to mash this stuff with base malt, since it is unmalted and has no enzymes of its own.

Different than other wheat
I've used flaked wheat, wheat malt and raw wheat but torrified is by far my favorite. It adds a wheat component but also a toasty biscuit flavor too. I be sure to add rice hulls when I use more than 10% in my grist.

No stuck mash here and a great toasty addition in a Saison. Recommended!
