Description

  • Super-sized corny keg, great for bigger batches and fermentation
  • Has the size and strength of a 15.5-gal commercial keg with the easy to open/clean/fill of a homebrew keg
  • Brand new, all-stainless construction ball lock keg
  • Stackable with ball lock quick disconnects in place
  • Etched In and Out labels near the keg posts for easy identification
  • Rolled handles for a comfortable grip
  • Made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer with high-quality laser welded seams

Look out below! The Torpedo Keg Depth Charge series just dropped and they're set to send blast waves through the homebrew world. Large-scale homebrewers will appreciate the ability to fit their entire batch into a single 15-gallon ball lock keg, and you can expect the same great features that have made Torpedo Kegs such a hit. Laser welded construction for superior quality, rolled stainless steel handles that will last a lifetime, and stackable design that won't interfere with your fittings.

Quality First
The first thing we at MoreBeer! check out is interior welds. We've spent a decade rejecting kegs made overseas because the interior welds have never met our standards. If a weld is not perfect and shows evident burn marks along with nooks and crannies it cannot be sanitized effectively. These kegs are machine welded and exceed our standards for quality. The weld quality is possible because these kegs made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer.

Cool Features
Torpedo Kegs were designed to stack with Ball Lock quick disconnects in place and serving, which is a cool feature for some brewers who have vertical space in their refrigerator. We also like the rolled stainless steel handles. They are comfortable to grab and will never come off like some rubber handles can over time. In and Out is etched near the keg posts for easy identification, which is very handy when you are connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator and trying not to make a mistake.

Overall, for the price and quality, along with free shipping from MoreBeer!, the Torpedo Keg is an amazing value!

To make DIY Brite tanks. It somewhat confounds me that everyone in the nano space isn't doing the same thing. Perhaps they are. Please don't up the price just because I mentioned this.

what size kegerator will these fit in?
Mike C A on Oct 8, 2021
BEST ANSWER: These are the same size as any commercial half barrel keg. The way the posts are set in lower than the top of the rim makes it pretty universal bc your lines won’t be taller than a normal coupler on a normal keg. If you have a commercial kegerator it was almost certainly built to fit exactly one keg this size. Bc that’s all a non-brewer needs.
Do you guys sell replacement liquid and gas lines for these 15 gallon torpedo kegs?
Mathew Robert Ridenour on Sep 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I'm a customer not a MoreBeer rep. But just so you know, these do not come with liines or quick disconnects. They are a keg with a corny style latch sealed mouth with quick release posts for gas in & liquid out. You would provide any lines for connecting the keg to gas & a tap or draft system. Or a fermenter in my case. Anyway, hope this helps.

too tall
I had to cut mine to get it to fit a standard size kegerator. Its 5 inches taller than standard kegs of equal gallon size.

Good Product, Excellent Service!
My new keg arrived in a condition I would describe as used. The box was all beat up and the keg had marks and a dent as well. Nothing that affected use, but not what I paid for. I contacted Morebeer before posting a review. They credited me with an amount that I think was more than fair. I very much appreciate this and thank Morebeer and Zack for making this right!!

I do 15 gallon batches and wanted to free up my fermenter as soon as possible. I am using this as a bright tank in a keezer. It will sit here for a week or so to clarify before the beer goes to 5 gallon kegs, or if my brew schedule is less busy I will just serve from it. I am very much looking forward to fitting this into my setup!

High quality.
Bought this to use as a fermenter. Haven’t had the chance to use it, but am very impressed with the quality after receiving it. Very heavy duty and I have no doubt it’s going to serve well as a fermenter.

Great Fermenting Vessel
Purchased for use as a fermenter for 5-12 gallon batches. Wanted to minimize post-ferment oxygen exposure. Trimmed the liquid dip tube to reduce sediment pickup. First batch (12 gallons) is currently carbing with a spunding valve. Anticipate pressure racking to serving kegs after cold crashing. A rousing success thus far.
