Cacao Nibs are a great way to introduce rich chocolate flavor into any beer. Impress your friends with a unique tasting experience!

Cacao nibs (crushed seeds from the Cacao plant) are the key ingredient in chocolate. While not technically chocolate themselves, they have a wonderful cocoa smell to them, and will provide a very subdued cocoa-like flavor to any beer.

You can use these nibs like you would a dry hop, by adding the nibs to your secondary fermenter or keg for a couple of weeks (4 ounces per 5 gallons is a great place to start), allowing the beer to draw out the subtle flavors and aromas of the cacao nibs. They can also be used in the boil or mash - wherever you would like to experiment with them. Adding the nibs pre-boil will impart some bitterness, so use a lot less than you would when adding them to a keg. (Recently, our friends at Stone Brewing Company made a stout using cacao nibs in the boil to actually replace some of the hops in the recipe!)

I purchased these Cacao Nibs to be used in my stout. They came very fresh. They added a nice complex chocolate flavor to my stout without affecting the head retention.

MMMM Chocolate!!!
Stout lovers looking to add more depth and character!Give these cacao nibs a try! I added them to a batch of oatmeal stout at a rate of .75oz/gal for 1 week @ 67*f. The result was a beer that had an aroma of sweet chocolate liquor. The aroma was followed by a deep dark bitter sweet chocolate taste coupled with the creamy dark roast of the base beer. This was done with a split batch to note differences. The cacao nibs really added the character I was looking for. A must try product from Morebeer!

great flavor
I soaked mine for 5 days in bourbon, then pitched bourbon and nibs all in the secondary. beautiful aroma and flavor to my stout. try it, you'll like it.

great flavor
If you want to add some bitter chocolate flavor to any beer, this is the product. I like to experiment with splitting batches and adding flavors to half. I have used these on several batches and am really happy with the results. The price is great as well.

I love these nibs. I always split batch my Baltic Porter and add nibs in the keg of one of the two split batches. Gives a nice earthy and chocolate character to the beer.

Cacao Nibs
I purchased 1 pound of Cacao nibs from MoreBeer! in an attempt to develop an over the top chocolate stout. This product worked great and was like chocolate heaven from the time I opened the package. I used them for 10 days in the secondary and achieved just the chocolate flavor and aroma I was looking for. Great Product.
