Description

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this item to you when we receive more in late January.

  • Transfer beer or wine between vessels without the hassle of starting a siphon
  • Place your receiving vessel side-by-side or even above the transferring vessel
  • Perfect for transferring between primary and secondary fermenter, or from fermenter to bottling bucket or keg
  • Eliminate excess oxygen exposure caused by hand-pumping or blowing into a carboy hood to start a siphon

The Super Sucker transfer pump is the quickest, most hassle-free solution to moving beer or wine between vessels. Rack from primary fermenter to secondary or from carboy to keg without the excess oxygen exposure that results from hand-pumping a siphon or blowing into a carboy hood. Simply run transfer tubing from a racking cane to the pump and then to your receiving vessel, flip the switch, and let the Super Sucker do the work while you kick back and enjoy a cold beverage.

With the Super Sucker you don't need gravity or CO2 pressure to move liquid around. Thanks to the pump's considerable max lift height, you can leave your heavy, full fermenter on the ground and place the receiving keg or carboy side-by-side or even above the fermenter on a countertop.

The 10 mm barbed inlet and outlet are perfect for use with 3/8" ID tubing. We recommend using our Racking Cane Siphon Kit plus 5 ft. of 3/8" vinyl tubing. Secure pump connections with butterfly hose clamps for easy set up and break down.

Features:

  • Self-Priming
  • 10 mm Barbed Inlet/Outlet
  • On/Off Switch
  • Max Flow: 1.12 Gal/min
  • Suction: 5 in.
  • Max Lift: 150 in. (12.5 ft.)
  • Maximum Temperature: 140°F
  • Pressure: 90 psi
  • Voltage: 12V DC (3.5A)

It’s economical and it does a good job. I have one and I like to get another one as a back up.

Because your site said it ships the same day if ordered before 1pm. and I need the unit by Friday evening since my current unit just quit working. I appreciate anything you can do to get it to me on time. Your website shows 1 day shipping to Ohio from Pennsylvania. Thank you kindly. Regards Alex

Easier than lifting carboys. Less likely to introduce contamination than auto-syphon.

Can it handle hot wort?
Paul A H on Apr 7, 2022
BEST ANSWER: No. I believe the max temp is 140F
Does this pump have a pressure limiting switch?
Mark on Apr 26, 2022
BEST ANSWER: No, just an on and off switch but it works great
Can the flow of this pump be constricted by a ball valve for extended periods of time?
John Anane-Sefah on Mar 21, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I just turned it off when I wanted to pause a transfer.
Does this pump introduce oxygen into the beer/wort when using?
Rick S on Mar 10, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I've never sucked air through mine. I recirc sanitizer first. I've never scene a bubble when transferring. It's better that an auto-syphon or any other method. One of my better brewing investments.
Is this a diaphragm pump or a vane pump? I didn’t see anything in the description.
Jesse M on Feb 25, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It’s a diaphragm pump.
Is the "suction" rating for this pump correct? Because 5 inches seems awfully small to be useful for a self-priming pump. A very similar pump (self-priming, 12 volts, same size and price) from another source claims their suction is 5 feet. I would like to pump out of a 5-gallon fermenter that does not have a spigot at the bottom.
Tom M on Apr 28, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The suction refers to the suction available to prime the pump. This is a small pump that provides great output. It will be great at re-priming in case you lose suction, but will need a little help getting the initial flow started if you have a long draw in front of the pump.
Can this pump be safely disassembled, cleaned and then reassembled?

This is a great product, especially for the price
This is the second one that I bought. I use it for wine making. It's great I do not have to lift glass cowboys. It will transfer from a bucket on the ground to a carboy on top of a standard cabinet with no problem.

You cannot do it on the initial racking because the pump is sensitive to sucking in seeds and heavy lees. After that, I use it all the time. I mounted it to a board for stability. For the price you cannot beat it.

Good pump for the price. Created foam when transferring meade.
I bought it to transfer mead into 16 oz wine bottles. I could not get it to stop creating foam. The pump works great for moving other liquids, cleaner ect.
Maybe too powerful for bottling.
Good pump for the price.

Great Little Pump
This pump works great! I use it to transfer/rack and recirc my hard seltzers through a 1 micron filter housing. It generates enough flow and pressure to handle those tasks. It self primes and is pretty quiet. I would love to have different connection options but am getting by with the barbed ones. You have to figure out the inlet before use but since it self primes, you can easily tell by placing a finger over each port. One will suck and the other will blow. I recommend marking these if you are going to be disconnecting it between uses. I plan to use it to clean my beer lines and other cleaning and sanitizing jobs. You can really get a lot of different uses around your home brewery if you plan it out as a system. It's easy to clean too, just pump water, cleaner and sanitizer through it after you're done and it's ready for the next job.

Handy and Inexpensive
Used for two transfers so far and worked great. The wiring looks like it could be prone to chafing, and it's a bit loud, but so far so good.

Handy!
I use it for transferring wort from fermenter to keg. I also keep a keg of diluted starsan that will be transferred into the next empty keg and then use the starsan keg for wort. Keep the 2 pieces of tubing in the keg, and always flush the pump with starsan, capping off with the residual in it. This is a back saver for a home brewer born in the first half of the last century.

I would not use it for large transfers. I use it for sucking little bits of water and lauter out of my larger brew pots.

Great pump
I injured my back recently and needed to transfer my beer without any lifting. This pump worked great. I used it to transfer to my bottling bucket and then to my mini kegs. The beer foamed a bit when transferring to the min keg and I was concerned but after tapping the keg, it was delicious.
