Hello, i was planning to install one of these mini ball valves to a 3 gallon FastFerment, because the valve that comes with it clogs after fermentation (even after i remove the yeast collector jar and attach the other accessory to take the beer out from the bottom ) and i have to siphon the beer out from the top, loosing the whole purpose of the FastFerment system. So i want to attach the ball valve to the side of the fermenter almost at the bottom to transfer the beer to a cornelius type keg, but i wanted to ask you guys, what other pieces do i need for doing this? Thanks in advance. Regards!

BEST ANSWER: The threading on this valve is called "beer thread" and will not be compatible with most brewing hardware that is not developed to fit sanke kegs, faucet shanks, and hex nuts.

Keg filling a breeze
When you use these to regulate the flow through your Sankey coupler for counterpressure filling.
