Use teflon spray!
After putting into service about a hundred of these type fittings while putting a chiller system together, I was helped by an older, kind employee in the plumbing dept of an unnamed big box hardware store to not only wrap your male fittings with many wraps of teflon tape (which I was doing) but also spray a light coating of teflon spray into the female fittings (which I was not doing.) Smart Man!
