Description
This thermometer from Ss Brewtech installs into the thermometer port on their Brew Kettle in minutes. Easy to read 3" dial face with 1/2" male thread on the back. Comes with 1/2" female bulkhead constructed from 304 stainless steel, high temp silicone o-rings included.
This thermometer is not compatible with the Brewmaster Edition Brew Kettle. For the BME compatible thermometer with 1.5" TC fitting, see MT513.

Fit my preexisting 15 galllon ss kettle. Has been very accurate. While not necessary for a boil kettle it does let me quickly see how long until boil while cleaning.
I cracked the glass on the thermometer on my brew kettle. This is nice replacement. I like the threaded bulkhead attachment. I checked it against my digital thermometer and it is pretty accurate in the zone between 75-212. .
I like dial thermometers in my kettles so I can sit and monitor. I like this one because the probe isn't overly long and in the way. Seems pretty accurate against my thermapen.
Temperature is all important in brewing. I have other thermometers, but this one, mounted on the pot side does not require I "jack" the lid & permit heat to escape while measuring. Great addition to my new SsBrewTech 304 pot! I did not understand what is meant by "bulkhead" in the product description so I ordered one. (BE381). This thermometer comes with this bolt in through port which only needs to be installed in the hole in the pot & snugged up. MoreBeer's no hassle return policy worked just as they advertise. Took it back to the store & was issued a credit directly to my credit card. For such reasons, MoreBeer is my prime source! Tested it! Temperature was spot on!
