Shut-Off Check Valve | CO2 On/Off Ball Valve | Male 1/4" NPT x 5/16" Barb
Description
An on/off ball valve and a check valve all-in-one!
Give your regulator an extra layer of protection with this dual purpose Shut-Off Check/Ball Valve. This valve gives you the flexibility to quickly turn off CO2 and at the same time keep beer from ever traveling back up the gas line and into the regulator. Standard equipment on our regulator.
Need it for the splitter below that will be going to another two secondary regulators to provide gas to the two conical fermentors for carbonation and pressure transfers

BEST ANSWER:These valves cannot be used with duotight fittings. The barb piece on this piece is designed to help hold the gas bladder that creates the one-way function of the valve.

I ordered item D1150, and received a stainless steel Y fitting. The Shut-Off Check Valve I also ordered (item D1120) is brass, and does not thread readily into the steel Y connector. It binds after about 1 turn by hand, and I would need to force it to go farther. What's happening here, and why did I get a steel Y fitting? The pictured item appears to be brass.

BEST ANSWER:This will not fit on the Komos regulator. The Komos has a 1/4" male flare thread. This piece has a 1/4" male npt. They are not compatible. There is an in-line valve you could use if you want to add a check valve to your system. The part number for that is D1870.

Can I get just a replacement check gasket for this valve? I have purchased the valve already and the check valve part just ripped while i was cleaning it.
Barb fittings can leak gas, use food safe keg lube or similar at the connection to make it gas tight. Mine still leaks at the ball or stem or something but it's so slow it's negligible gas loss compared to dispensing.
May of been my fault. But when tightening shut off valve with a wrench the stop piece of the leaver broke off. This piece keeps the leaver from turning past the on/off positions.
