Rigid Plastic Joiner for Duotight Fittings | 8 mm

    • Creates perfectly straight, rigid joins with push-in fittings
    • Simplifies connecting small accessories compared to using EVABarrier tubing
    • 44mm length provides ample grip and easy disassembly, even after full insertion into two Duotight 8mm fittings

    This rigid joiner is made from strong polypropylene. It's useful to make rigid joins with push-in fittings that are dead straight. Although it's possible to make joins using short pieces of 8mm OD EVABarrier tubing, when mounting parts to a gas board or wall it will often make things much neater if you use these instead. The 44mm length is long enough so even after pushing right into two Duotight 8mm fittings on both ends, you should still have an exposed length of about 3mm so you can still easily take the fittings apart later.

        Worthy of five stars!

        When you are connecting short runs with lots of Duotight fittings, these are perfect and straight! I recommend these because you know they are inserted exactly the right amount, it's a guess with just quickly cut and inserted tubing...

        Works good but Pricy

        As with all of the other DuoTight fittings these couplers work very well. I do think the price is a little high though considering the alternative of hacking up a short piece of EVAbarrier tubing that could be used as a substitute. I will continue to buy and use them though.

        Tubing stuck in Duotight ball lock (liquid) and cannot be pulled out. Help?

        Sometimes removing these can be difficult (which is not a bad thing). Fully compressing the ring on the fitting while pulling on the tube should get it out. Using an 8mm open end wrench (or a 5/16 wrench) or adjustable wrench works pretty good to compress the ring while pulling on the tubing.

        There is a small ring at the base of the unit surrounding the tube that pushes the circumferentially arranged teeth away from tube. If the ring is pushed toward the unit while simultaneously pulling gently on the tube it should slide out.
